I'm totally baffled by this.

I had quite a few recorded programmes on my Humax PVR-9150T then suddenly they all disappeared.

I have since recorded more programmes but when I go to play them, at the bottom of the screen the title and running time of one of the missing recordings briefly appears.

If they have disappeared without trace how can this information be displayed?

How much HDD space does the PVR report as used?

The index on the hard disk is corrupt.

The easist way to get the 9150T to work again is to reformat the disk, via the reformat command on the 9150T menus. Reformatting will cause you to lose all the recordings forever but it is the easiest solution to get a working 9150T again.

By removing the hard disk to a PC instead of the 9150T it may be possible to recover recordings. This may not be worth the effort for you.
The software to use is humaxrw in recovery mode. Humaxrw as originally written for the 9200T but has been used successfully on the 9150T and 9300T to get the reordings off the HDD and on to a PC. You would be able to play the extracted recordings via the free MediaPlayerClassic player on your PC.
If you wanted to get them back on to your 9150T, from recent posts it appears that it does not work quiet as expected with the 9300T and by implication the 9150T.

Note that if you record futher programmes the results will not be reliable until you have reformatted.

Good question, but as yet no answer.

It does happen to some more often than others. It could be the individual unit or it could be a bug or bugs that some people trigger more often than others.

I have two 9200T and experienced it only once in the combined 10 years of use.

To recover to a PC is a bit of pain and a learning experience.

Its far easier if you can decide that you can live without the old recordings and reformat the disk.
The format option is on the same menu that you obtained the usage infrormation from. When selected the format option will ask for your password. The default password is '0000'. The format takes about 2 or 3 seconds.

I honestly didn't realise there was a possibility of recovering the recordings so I'll do as you suggest and reformat.

Adele's concert was the biggest loss to me but no doubt it'll be repeated.
