Little Mix delay release of Wings by a month
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...gle-wings.html
I'm really disappointed as I was looking forward to hearing the track! Although it would seem they want to coincide the album and single release together. I think it would have been better to release a second single first before putting the album out! |

I actually think this is a good idea as I think they have every chance of releasing a successful album on the back of their first single.

maybe the idea of possibly competing with Misha B's Home Run scared them off - that song could be huge, though i thought Aiden's Is This Love was huge, and look how that panned out...

Not totally shocked. I Agree the album will likely be released during x factor.
I don't expect a #1 album because even if they sell well, there is bigger releases coming by then. |

I'm not surprised at the postponement, given the lowest selling winner's single ever, no real gain in interest since then and a lot of lost momentum. Quote:

I still can't understand why Aiden was even signed but there appeared to be machinations at work as soon as the number going on tour was stretched to accommodate him. I wasn't surprised to see that the single didn't do particularly well. It got substantial airplay on major radio stations but as the saying goes, you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink. The guy was one of the first ones voted out of the show despite all the hype so why would they think there was a big enough audience for him? Apparently they are still going ahead with the tour plans for the end of the year. I hope it doesn't end up in embarrassment for him and cancellation due to lack of sales as has been the case with some previous contestants. |

I don't like it when albums are released so soon after the first single. I think that 2 songs should be released before an album.
Are they trying to release to coincide with the X Factor? Little Mix had so much potential, hope they can get ahead and are not suffocated totally in the Cowell machine before Simon gets bored. |

Probably will be tons Of 1d stuff. But 1d was also delayed a few times on their single. So who knows.
If Simon really decides to invest money into them, they will be put on a tour that is a sure thing. IMHO Now what will really suck is if Simon drops them, they wanna still continue on a smaller label but Simon keeps their copyrights, etc! |

Is it me or are music releases constantly delayed and pushed back? It's like every other record is delayed these days. Very frustrating for fans who just want to hear the music.

Here's hoping they delay it until the end of time. The world and my poor bleeding ears and heart could do without another pack of crows gyrating their moon sized backsides in my unassuming face. Here's hoping they find Brittle Mix find their souls.

Simon simply wins whatever. There is a danger that Little Mix will miss the boat, which is fustrating when you see (hear) how much little talent ID have, certainly as far as singing ability (they pose well though!).
Yeah. It's more frustrating that their team hasnt confirmed! IMO it makes it worse when these people wait and don't say a word. Fans won't be thrilled but it's better than keeping mum. |

I find it very unprofessional when artists and their management publicly commit to a release date, and then later go back on their word by delaying it. All it does is disappoint fans who are waiting patiently for a release they are interested in.

what a ridiculous decision!
surely releasing the single in july, then releasing a second single during x factor and performing on the live shows followed by an album release in time for xmas would make more sense?! this industry is baffling me lately! |

^^ No trust in SyCo either, but I'm a Westlife fan.
They said on twitter that they were recording 'Day 2' of the music video and it seemed to be about a month after Day 1 (and they referred to it as a wrap when they finished and all signs were that that was it), so I'm presuming something wasn't right with the original mv and they have re shot some scenes. But it's frustrating and I'm hoping the whole process isn't going to be drawn out. They have T4OTB soon and really they should be performing something new on there, but it's now going to be ages before the actual release. |
