![]() ![]() By the way, it was Mr Valerii Shychanin, who told them where to get off after the band had been trying the don't you know who we are type of BS with the young stewards. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the England game without hearing the same ol' tunes being played over and over again. |

Have any of the band members acknowledged that fact that not every England supporter likes them? I'm yet to see anyone sticking up for them, but they're still talking as though they have the support of the nation behind them.....

No idea. They called one steward a 'jobsworth at the gate' and kept banging on about UEFA.

They are our vuvuzela. They ruin the moment. They drown out the fans with their noise. Who the heck are a few blokes, sponsored by a pie company, to try to dictate what should be sung and when. I'm sure they think they're doing the right thing for the right reasons. But they're not. They are garbage. Fook off back to Sheffield and shut the hell up. Hang up the sponsored t-shirt and the trumpet and watch the game like every bugger else. Try singing a song - you might enjoy it. |

He conveniently ignores the fact that the vast majority of posts anywhere have been negative, the Facebook anti-band page has gained more followers in an afternoon than their page has in many months. There has also been a small amount of abuse, as there always will be, but the vast majority of posts have been variants of 'Please, just stop now'. I wonder if they will quietly parp off into retirement after this tournament. We can but hope. I am sure their sponsors aren't too happy about all this negativity either, perhaps they will reconsider their position. |

So long as the remaining fans can create a good atmosphere this is probably a good thing.
Sometimes having a drum or band can lead to others not bothering to sing. Also if the game isn't going that well the last thing you really want is some bloke blowing a trumpet in your ear! |

I will never forget the atmosphere at Wembley back in Euro '96 when every England fan inside the ground was singing Three Lions before the game had even kicked off.
The atmosphere that night was second to none and it disappoints me greatly that such spontaneous shows of support have been made almost impossible due to that f*****g brass band! ![]() I didn't realise until the other day that these morons are actually sponsored and paid to go to everywhere England play, that just makes it even more offensive. I would have a grain of respect for them if they were travelling to all these matches at their own expense, but to freeload off a pie company and the FA just makes the whole thing all the more depressing.

Absolutely no sign of any of the Ukraine story on the Puke-a Pies website.

I hope UEFA keep the ban in place. The England game was sooooooo much better without having to hear the so called England band crucify The Great Escape Theme. I think that's why the English players played better as well.

I don't get it, if the band is so universally loathed by the fans, how come they haven't made it obvious to the tuneless twonks by now?
