Elysium will be out in September, preceded today by the taster track "Invisible".

So...are you bothered? Is it time for PSB to retire? Or (as I firmly believe) are they still fantastic?

You firmly believe correctly, they are indeed fantastic.

Have to be honest though, not overly keen on Invisible yet, hopefully it's a grower but it hasn't grabbed me thus far. Quite pleased to hear that it's an album track and not a single.

The way I see it, every new album we get is a bonus, there's an amazing enough back catalogue to keep me going for the rest of my life but having a new album to look forward to is a great thing.

Heartbreaking song. Up to their usual high standards I think.

Always look forward to a new Pet Shop Boys album. Their last couple of albums haven't been fantastic but they always have 2 or 3 great tracks per album.

I miss the days when they used to release loads of different formats for their singles, now we're lucky to get a simple CD single.

I'll second that! Glad to see them back, a band that makes real electronic music!

Seriously?? Fundamental and Yes are possibly two of my favourite PSB albums ever.

Not heard the new track yet, but I absolutely love PSBs. Yes is one of their best but it took a while to grow. It was the first time I saw them live too. No doubt they will tour for this too

Absolutely agree about the singles too. I have just about all of their singles. Some of them are works of art in themselves. I hope they continue producing them for us lot. I have a feeling they will.

About bloody time Yes- had one duffer: 'Beautiful People'- i didn't think much of 'King of Rome' either. Apart from those two it was brilliant!

I absolutely love "King of Rome", in fact it was probably one of the stand out tracks, along with "Pandemonium" on "Yes".

"Legacy" was the duffer for me.

Me too. Although they've released some material that I haven't completely engaged with, Pet Shop Boys are still my favourite artists ever and I still look forward to their new albums, remixes and b-sides.

I actually quite like Invisible on first hearing.

I LOVE 'Legacy'! I was narked that the Oakey duet was not on 'Yes'! That was brilliant!

PSB's are truly a national treasure, and one of the greatest songwriting partnerships in music history. Always nice to hear what they do next. Nuff Said!

I really love their new songs. Invisible and Winner are really promising. Hopefully they will be mixed with some upbeat PSB anthems and the album will be as good as Yes.

Really looking forward to the album as well, they are one of the most consistent bands.

Anybody else who has an 'Olympic' feeling with their new single 'winner' ? not just because of the title but the whole arrangement and lyrics sound so olympic.

Written my thoughts here on my blog for those interested.
