Yep well I dunno much,if anything about PC gaming as you can tell. I asked about wow and Diablo and was told I'd need a decent PC to run it at a decent speed or something along those lines. Perhaps I should have read up about what was needed before I went looking

I guess i'm looking for advice on PC gaming as i'd very much like to give it a go but don't know where to start.

Why are you comparing a gaming laptop to a console, they're not even the same thing.

Desktop PC's are not that much more expensive than consoles and the games can be quite a lot cheaper.

WOW does not need that much power and even runs smoothly on the older mainstream graphics cards.

An AMD 6670 graphics card and AMD quad core is a relatively inexpensive way to start, won't max out all the latest games but will certainly give you enough for the majority of releases.

What PC do you have?

By max out I mean have the graphic settings and resolution on the highest.

Gaming on a laptop is not really my fortay, last laptop I bought cost me £1200 which was about 10 years ago, it spent more time in the cupboard than actually being used.

If you want to see what some games are like on your laptop, you can install steam and download some demos. Click the green install button at the top of here

Heres battlefield 3 on your laptop
