Problems playing Phoenix Nights Series 1 DVD

Hi,

I've recently got myself a copy of the Phoenix Nights Boxset DVD, (series 1+2)

When I try and watch series one, I find the playback jumps, skips (Like in fast forward mode) and sometimes it will even lock up and you have to switch the DVD player off and back on again.

Have tried the disk in other DVD players and it works fine, I've also borrowed another copy of Series 1 from a mate and that does the same thing on my DVD player.

Anyone else had this problem?

My setup is a Samsung UW17J11VD TV,VCR,DVD Combi

P.S. Series 2 DVD seems to work fine

I have not had that problem with my disk, but i do with bowling for columbine.

What palyer you using? The Samsung one?

I'm going to try and give Samsung a ring and see if they have a new firmware for my player to hopefully "fix" the problem, only trouble is their offices are closed when i get back from work!!!

No I am using an acoustic solutions dvd player. Some players just have dificulties with some disks, it just happens that your model wont work with that disk. If you go to the web site ther may be a firmware upgrade.
