Is There A X Box Exchange?

Whilst I am pretty impressed that my X Box 360 Core (120GB HDD fitted since) from 2007 is still working perfectly I find the fan noise it makes is a real nuisance, especially when playing any kind of media, it easily drowns out any quiet scenes in a movie for example.

It has always been really noisy ever since I first got it so don't think there anything wrong as such just quite annoying as it makes the consoles (otherwise decent) media facilities practically useless.

I know I could probably eBay it, I also have noticed that the older systems barely seem to carry any value these days and so was wondering if MS offer any kind of exchange program for users wanting to upgrade to the newer 360 console design?

In a word, no. Microsoft just want you to buy the newer 360 S, they don't really care what you do with your old XBox.

As long you don't modify it, Microsoft isn't fussed.

I was going to add what I about to say to my earlier post, but the time limit for editing posts has gone.

If you want to trade-in your Xbox360 while it's stil working, (and before it decides to RRoD as a 2007 model could do)
then try CeX, Cash Generator or Cash Converters. Don't expect to get much for it, especially considering it's age.

Failing that, you could always stick it on eBay, Gumtree or in the Loot.

Had the same deal in game when I traded my arcade system for the resident evil elite console. There's always deals like that in Game as well as Gamestation.

That seems pretty decent, probably more than I could sell it for, though guess it also depends how much they are selling the slim 250GB (thats the one I would go for, the 4GB would be a huge downgrade) for at the time too. Gamestation and Game aren't know to be particularly good with their pricing...
