Radio car sticker research - sensational results
I am a high mileage driver, and have been conducting painstaking research regarding driving misdemeanours over the previous six months.
I can catagorically advise that in the following instances: 1) Hogging of outside motorway/dual carriageway lane at frustrating speeds, oblivious to following vehicle 2) Acces to car made impossible in supermarket car park owing to offending vehicle being parked 50mm away from offside 3) Visibility through rear window severely restricted owing to menagerie of fluffy animals on parcel shelf 4) Complete bewilderment and consequent imobility at mini-roundabouts 5) Faliure to switch on headlamps even in torrential rain/thick fog 6) Pink paintwork/headlight "eyelashes" .....in 93.2% of cars bearing a car sticker, that sticker said "HEART" |

Being unable to park straight - 96 Trent FM.... (Do Capital Radio have car stickers? There are loads of Trent FM ones round here but not seen a single Capital Radio one!)

Car stickers are surely old hat as a promotional tool these days?
Radio Jackie still dish them out and offer £107.80 in a competition which seems to never ends. |

I was thinking about radio car stickers when driving on the motorway the other day. Reckon there must be quite a few tonnes of car stickers at the scrap yards as theyre no way near as visible as they were 10 years ago

See very few car stickers these days. I used to have a 96.4 fm BRMB sticker on the back of my saxo in about 2000. I believe it's now changed its name to "Free Radio Birmingham"

I still have hundreds (nearly) of unused stickers, pictures, pens, keyrings, Pepsi Target Tuners, programme guides etc etc here at home from my 'collecting' days of the 80's and 90's. Need to find them a new home as I'm loathe to just dump them.

I had a self customised sticker in the back of my Escort Sport in 1980 in the days "cut & paste" meant precisely that, saying " Crapital 194* ", so my history of hating the station is long and proud

In the East Midlands I've seen a lot of Gem car stickers - helped by the tie-in they had(/have?) with Sainsbury's. You maverick! |

Heart Bashing....as if!
[quote=James Martin 2;58807283]So this is another Heart bashing thread?
So if Heart bashing is so popular, what does that tell you? This from someone who actually LIKES music, not continuous repetition and adverts. |

I like the Heart label things that they give out to businesses that say "Open for business and listening to Heart". The thing is in most cases they either have no music on at all or are tuned to another radio station.

Radio Sation Stickers
I can remember a time when Radio stations were cool, and many had a local identity which you were happy to be associated with.
I cant honestly say that about a lot of commercial radio nowadays. I realised this when I bought a rather nice second hand car and the first thing I did was scrape off the sticker (Not easy) for a well known radio brand that I truly despise |

The bad thing about them was that the glue was on the back instead of the front! So within a few weeks of nasty UK weather the logo faded totally and my lovely Beacon Radio sticker became a blank white square on my windscreen! |
