Its true, as much as the anti-BBC rhetoric won't admit it - they just need to change it and sustain the big ratings it got.

Surely Strictly is the biggest as it gets the most publicity and really big ratings.

Biggest launch, off well from the starting blocks, but poor stamina.

I enjoyed it, and watched it to the end despite all the harping criticism it received, some of it justified, much of it an anti-BBC bandwagon IMO. Next year, with better scheduling and a few tweaks, it will be even better.

Biggest launch.

There is so much I could say about that press release...

It's just spin to try and make the show look like less of a disaster.

The series average was higher than the average for the first series of X Factor or SCD, yes but that masks the fact that the ratings for The Voice sharply declined as the run continued (in contrast to SCD and XF), the shows finale rated less than the series average (unlike SCD and XF) and that the final episode of the first series of XF had a larger audience than the Voice finale.

That's your interpretation of it - I could say that your post is just spin to make it seem more of a disaster.

On the whole it has been a success for the BBC, the auditions and battles rated very highly indeed - yes it lost viewers and momentum throughout, they realise this and claim to be making tweaks to it next year.

Regardless of ratings, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. The talent was fantastic from start to finish, and I know a lot has been said about the coaches, but I hope they all remain for the next series.

That's like saying Titanic was the most successful show ITV ever produced

It's nice that you enjoyed the series, I enjoyed bits of it too. But that does NOT make the show a success and the BBC declaring it a hit doesn't make it one. Especially when they also said that if the show comes back next year there will be lots of changes. Why make changes if it was so successful?

They're basically just blowing their own trumpet, let's face it hardly anyone else is going to big the Voice up.
