I'm not sure if this is a wind up. But outlook express is superseded by windows live mail. Google it. Assuming you have found some kind of browser.

I don't see that this is a wind up, Windows 7 doesn't come with Outlook Express and most users coming from XP would expect to see it of something similar... .and that something similar is Windows Live Mail.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...other-programs

Of course Googling Outlook Express Windows 7 would also give the answer

Give us some context.

Have you broken something and are trying to fix it? Or do you just want to install Outlook Express and update to the newest version of Internet Explorer?

Outlook Express isn't available in Windows Vista or Windows 7—you can't download it or run it on either version of Windows. However, you can install an e‑mail program from another company or use Windows Live Mail.

If you're running XP Outlook Express is available here
http://www.tucows.com/preview/194179
BUT to repeat Outlook Express will NOT work with Windows 7 nor Windows Vista.

As far as Internet Explorer is concerned this comes with all versions of Windows no matter which operating system.
Which operating system are you running XP/Vista/Windows 7??
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/i...r/downloads/ie

Hopefully (in the context of this question) you have a PC and not a MAC

Windows 7 comes with Browser choice

You can download Windows mail (not livemail) to run on Windows 7 ( see YouTube or Windows Valley website)

Good luck, it's a piece of cake to install

you can get latest internet explorer version through (microsoft) windows update which is built into windows .... the last version of outlook express released was 10 years ago, it's an ancient program now which lacks security features etc common to more recent programs and can't even handle some email content today! .... vista came with a different email client called windows mail .... windows 7 does not come as standard with an email client but many are available including the one which is part of windows live essentials .. windows live mail - which should not be confused with windows live hotmail (a webmail service) .. old outlook express emails can be imported to this program

Substitute the TalkTalk username, POP and SMTP details with these Tiscali ones:

You still need to explain exactly what it is you are trying to do. Without knowing this, you're just going to get random suggestions.

What EXACTLY do you mean and what are you trying to do?

XP and Windows 7 are two entirely independent operating systems.

As far as Internet Explorer is concerned the latest version for Windows 7 is IE9 and for XP IE8.
IE8 will work on Windows 7 but IE9 will not work on XP

You need to link your email account into Windows Live Mail.
