Any ladies wear a wig?

Hi Ladies,

I'm looking for some advice or opinions on wigs.

I never seem to be happy with my hair, I can never seem to decide what I want and forever seem to be cutting it, growing it in, curling it, straightening it or dyeing it.

I don't want to get to my 30's and have thin, dry damaged hair from all my heated appliances, dye and hair extensions so I'm thinking of buying a few wigs so I can have whatever hair style/colour I want without touching my own hair.

any advice or opinions welcome

Why not start off simpler with something like a clip in pony tail or a messy bun or scrunchy. Ken Paves does some nice ones but they are expensive (QVC sell them) or a company called Hot Hair do a lot of clip in hair buns and stuff. Or try some clip in hair extensions.
I think I would feel a bit self conscious wearing a wig, like people were looking at me but I suppose in this day and age anything goes!!!!!

You sound just like me.

I was never happy with my hair, always wanted longer hair.
It started about 3/4 years ago i'd get braids, weaves, clip in ponytails, I'd dye it, put bleach on, use straighteners, get it relaxed.

Anyway my hair finally gave up the ghost in April.
I had bleach streaks in it, then dyed it a red colour in November, then in the new year had braids in for 2 months, took them out and decided to wear a clip in ponytail for a while but couldn't get my hair to match any of the colours, I then dyed itabout 3 times in the week till i got the colour i wanted.

Then in April i got it relaxed straight like i normally do
but to my horror as the hairdresser was blow drying my hair i saw large clumps of hair comming out.
We looked and my hair was breaking off.

Now cos my hair is damaged so much i can't have any more relaxers on my hair until the damaged growth has grown or been cut out.

this is why I'm going natural AND everyone says it suits me so much more than all of these crazy hair styles.

What i'm trying to say is look after your hair cos you never know when it's gonna rebel and when it does your screwed!

Answer to your question is I'd go for a clip in ponytail, just make sure you get one for your hair type ie: Yaky hair for afro Caribbean or European for white hair (if you get my drift)

I'm mixed race and i always used Freetress as they are cheap but they never last long enough, after 2 weeks of wearing everyday they lose there softness and get tangled easily.

Good luck

BTW I personally always think u can tell if it's a wig unless you pay hundreds for it.
