It's not as though she's describing herself in any virtuous way.

If she said that she ate babies then you aren't going to say that's what she said she was going to do so it makes it seem not quite as bad because 'at least she was honest'.
i'm saying you know what you get with her.. if you can't accept that she's going to be rude at times and speak before she thinks then you're probably not going to like her.

but if you accept that it's part of her character then you can look past it.

none of the housemate's are perfect they all have faults, as does everyone else. i like a person who can admit their flaws for better or worse.

i'm supposed to hate her because she can be rude at times? because she didn't like victoria (a person who couldn't even be bothered to learn her name, said she wanted to evict catherine, and was generally a miserable, complaining, negative energy) and everyone falls for the whole "victim routine" where if anyone cries everyone immediately makes them a martyr, victoria was horrible not only do i not dislike caroline for those events i loved the events and it made me like her even more. haha.

other than this harmless thing of cheering when victoria went what has she done, discussed a few things, talked to other people?

since the series began people have found ways to trash her, she was fake, she was a snob, she was vile and loves the pain of others, i'm pretty soon claims will soon come out that she kicks puppies in her spare time.

I think people can accept that she can be rude at times. It's just that they might not like her.

I think you're being a bit melodramatic if you're predicting that claims will be made that she kicks puppies.
I don't think I've seen anybody display that level of dislike towards her so far.
Anyone can like or dislike who they please, but you have to accept that some people may just simply not like her.

I may be wrong but I get the impression that you're a bit sensitive about this because you may know her personally. Is this correct?

more melodramatic than her eating babies?

it's fine if people don't like her but i can't help but try and defend her when bad things are said about her that i disagree with.

I find her quite amusing with Scott, but both seem to be turning into b*tches at the current moment in time. It will backfire on them both!

As much as her dry humour is enjoyable, I find the reasons I dislike her (ie having a nasty streak about her) to out weigh the positives.

She's toast if she goes up. The voice, the attitude, the look, the bitching. She would lose any 2 way eviction in a landslide I reckon.

i have a feeling you're probably right on that.
hopefully if she becomes friends with becky some of the becky fanbase can support her.

i don't think she's that popular overall atm.

as long as she doesn't do anything too in your face i think the big characters will vote each other and she can stay in for a bit.

did anyone catch how many noms she got?

Well if you read the post again you should notice that I never actually attributed that trait to her.
But you read it that way. Which would suggest that you may be the one who is possibly a bit oversensitive about how she comes across.

What I said could have been used to make my point about any housemate of your choosing in there.
My point wasn't that I thought that she ate babies, which is a surprise that you took that so literally, but that a housemate could say anything in their intro VT, but it wouldn't automatically act as a disclaimer just because they promised to do something bad . It depends on what they actually say.

Nothing wrong with defending her if you like her, but I think it might be better to save it up and use your defences when they're needed (That doesn't sound patronising at all does it?). She doesn't strike me as a housemate who is particularly disliked on the forum at the moment.

You seem to be offering quite a sturdy defence of her when it doesn't really feel as though she's a housemate who has particularly been under any kind of sustained attack on here.

No doubt that time will come though.

i know what you were saying but i still thought it was a bit over the top, i mean eating babies was the example used. how does it go from being rude to eating babies.
(it's a pretty big gap between the two hehe why not "lying" for example)

as to her not being attacked cmon man look around, you're even in a thread calling her the b*word.
the caroline bashing has been quite strong. i should know i've defended her at every turn.

I am not sure they will be able to pull that. I get the feeling that with the nomination discussions allowed then that is pretty much all the coven will be doing.

Well no actually, some can't. Nor should they. We can all be rude at times and most of us probably recognise it's something we should try to limit.

She just seems a rather mean spirited little madam to me.

I'm at a loss what else to say here. I used an extreme example to highlight the point. It was nothing to do with any particular housemate.

Well if I'm honest I can't say that I've been on the forum as much as some may be and just browse to catch up. So I concede to you there and take your point that perhaps she may get more flak than I perceive her to be getting. So I'll take your word for that.

I personally don't have that strong an opinion about her and she hasn't really been on my radar.
But on last night's show she was talking to Scott I think and seemed to be a bit nasty about another housemate. It seemed to be one of those catty remarks people tend to say with glee. I thought 'Oh that wasn't very nice was it?' and she didn't endear herself to me that well.

That was just last night's show. I didn't really have an opinion about her before one way or another other than thinking she could do with sorting her hair out.

fair enough, although i don't get why people get so worked up over people having conversations and discussing and talking about things, you'd think that was the worst thing a person can do the way people react toward it. "bitching", did you see them "bitching" omg they're vile. lol. it's a bit odd to me.

maybe it's a cultural thing on that, i don't think "bitching" as people refer to it is a big deal in america at least i've never perceived it as such or saw it perceived that way.

That's the thing. Housemates that I usually like most definitely tend to be flawed, but they don't sell those flaws to me as a reason for me to like them.

There's been plenty of housemates who have worn their flaws like a medal, telling us that they are a bitch, or a diva, or stating things that they think make them appealing which to me simply aren't.
I simply haven't liked them.

If a housemate ever trots out the well worn cliche "I'm like marmite me, you're going to either love me or hate me" well I don't like being given ultimatums, so they force my hand to hate them if they are telling me that I only have those two options to choose from.

in fairness she wasn't selling those flaws as a reason to like her, i was doing that to some degree (although i was more pointing out that's who she is, she's not being fake she's been exactly what she said she was in her interview)... she was saying it was a negative thing about her that gets her into trouble.

this was all from a preinterview, she was explaining that she didn't think she'd win because of these flaws.

I think that sometimes it depends on the context. As what circumstances the target of the bitching is in will be different for each housemate, and even the type of bitching can be different.
For example a bit of a moan because somebody did something which got under your skin can be seen to be perhaps justified and very different from somebody running down somebody else's character needlessly and for no other apparent reason other than to be cruel for kicks.

I wasn't talking about Caroline there myself.
I don't even know if I saw her intro VT.

She's not bitchy on the quiet, she's pretty vocal about it. And not in a fun, good way. She's just a spoiled child who has no manners. Sad because I thought I would like her.

I was highly amused when she dead pan said she needed to tell Chris to just be himself. She's got a good read on other housemates.

The coven, as you like to call them, are Sara, Ashleigh and Conor. What have they got to do with a thread that is trying to be bitchy and nasty about Caroline?

No, the coven is scott, caroline and becky. If you have spotted another coven go start a thread on it.

There can only be one coven and it's definitely Sara, Ashleigh and Conor.

Why can there only be one coven?

The 3 you mention aren't smart enough to plot anything. They are just vacuous airheads and I can't stand them either so I am failing to see what point you are making here.
