I've been to the one in Newcastle, and it's surprisingly nice. Ideal for if you fancy a quick and filling bite to eat and don't want to step foot in McD's or Burger King.
You can get hot and cold sandwiches, pies, savoury pastries etc, and all for a very reasonable price. As well as biscuits and cake and all that. And it's kind of cooler than I was expecting. They have a whole wall of mismatching antique and 'kooky' coffee pots and teapots. It's more of a Gregg's than a coffee place, I think. Like, I wouldn't go there unless I wanted some food too. But definitely a thumbs up, from me! |

There's one in my town where you can eat in.
You could never eat in before the pasty tax, but when it came in, all of a sudden, there were tables and chairs and you got asked if you were eating in or out. I presumed it was to do with that. I wonder if they'll be removed now as the pasty tax is no more. |

I know of at least 3 Greggs cafes up here in Scotland already, there is no special branding though so I assume this is separate.
One in particular is in a complete dive shopping centre which I can't see a few kooky decorations sprucing up. |

Yeah these are a new venture. The old Greggs cafe in the Hill Street Centre in Middlesbrough was recently converted to the 'Moments' format. Looks quite nice...have yet to give it a go though

A friend suggested today that why doesn't Greggs start selling newspapers, as they are open quite early. I would think it would be a good idea, as business people like to grab a snack and drink whilst commuting to work, so maybe they could grab a paper from there also
