I don't see what the big fuss is. They're just five yanks with below average songs trying to sue some English band, right?

You better get used to it because from now on popular artists will be all over the internet. Social media is the new big thing

Getting a bit bored of seeing tweens rave about them and other unmentionables on Twitter.

It's the Bieber haircuts - it seems to do something to teenage girls that makes them go crazy.

fans use the internet to eventually get the boys to their country like what these norway girls are trying to do!!

and they were so excited and festive and the boys weren't there yet, huh?

Some of their twitter fans can be over the top one time all these "Directioners" were sending threats to someone becouse 1D were not nominated for a songwriting award.

I'm pretty sure i saw something like that. However what I mean is that those trends which make no sense (and there is at least one each day) are annoying

I'm pretty sure one of their drivel # trends worldwide at least twice a day, I'll never ever understand the hype for them, I don't find them at all attractive and I'm baffled at how many do, don't even get me started on their music either.

It seems to be, when I typed in 'X Factor Louis' into Twitter when Louis Walsh was guesting in the USA all the messages were similar to : 'Louis Thomlinson MARRY ME'.. or 'FOLLOW ME'.

Yes the majority on twitter are young...but some fan pages have owners around the same age as the boys.

I'd say their main fanbase is between 14-17 - the ones who meet the boys regularly at events, go to their concerts etc.

Do these girls look like tweens?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA1WEGRfcAA

Some are even older just look at the ONTD page as an example...http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com...ne%20direction (Over 20)

And surprisingly there is a growing number of male (straight) fans of them.
