......I can predict how it will go..........firstly slag off G4 and try to play down the poll results from yesterday. Big up Rowetta and Steve (nat), big up Tabby (don`t know why), slag off G4 again.......probably call them buskers (yawn).......By the way he is due on at 12 noon and he hasn`t even turned up........says it all really.

When pushed who he thought would win - he wouldn`t commit......but did say it was all now down to song choices......and said that given a half decent song G4 could be in there, but didn`t know their song choice this week. Philip does because Louis always tells him and he said G4`s choice this week "was a cracker"... AT LONG LAST
He said if G4 had good songs he could see them reach the final. He thinks Tabby may be in the final. And why change what Steve does best, Sharon was trying to get him to pick a song that is not suitable for Steve.

He also said he thinks it is between Steve and Tabbie. He contradicted himself when he said the youngsters are watching X factor and the oldies Come Dancing, then said it was a battle of the age groups between Steve and Tabby.
Poor Cassie she didn't even get a mention

I agree with Simon, I think it is now between Steve and Tabby with G4 in with a shout if they are allowed to sing a song that shows their talents off to the full. Cassie and Rowetta are now also rans.

I think he's probably a bit "annoyed" with Rowetta because when Louis and Sharon gave her negative comments she "blamed" Simon for the song choice and did it again later when Kate asked her how's she's feeling while waiting for the results...

Simon is not stupid, he knows Tabby is very popular, if he starts dissing him even more (sympathy) votes will go Tabby's way. I have completely changed my opinion on Simon during X factor, he is the only judge who is coming across as fair and rational. I thought he was very supportive about G4 during the interview.

I think he meant a battle between 16-24 and say 25-40, while 40 and overs are watching Come dancing. As far as G4 are concerned, Simon sort of said he left the deciding vote to Louis on Saturday because he had been smug for the first 2 weeks. That IF G4 left Louis would just judge, but, with the right choice of songs the could make it to the final.

I thought it was a good interview and funny especially at the end where they were joined by Donny Osmond...
I dont think he really put anyone down... he made fair points as in song choices. He also said he didnt hate the other judges and that at the end of the show he cuddled sharon and patted louis on the back, as with the tension etc it feels like they have been through a boxing match!
Said louis was smug on week 3 as both simon and sharon had lost an act, and now 'there is a god' or something like that.
I cant imagine either of the other two being as honest or fair in their answers....
and he wasnt really late... walked straight onto set on time according to Fern, ie cutting out all the waiting around and small talk!

Anything Simon says is only intended to generate more interest in the show. I don't think he cares who wins, he could do something decent with any of them, and he is in pocket whatever happens.
I'm afraid I don't think this show is about finding a big star for Simon, it's just a money maker.
aint it funny how all the contestants wait to hear what simon says, if he gives good comments they love him, if he doesnt they know they were tripe, everyone wants to know what simon says, its better than the game.
Maybe Simons backing Tabby so much bacause he was the one almost not in the competition. Sharon switched from the other guy to Tabby last minute but they may have been staged.
Looking at other comps. David Sneddon wasn't in the original line up or Sinnead and she did well. Also Girls Aloud is made up from 3 of the original 10 and 2 'fill ins'!

Simon isnt the only one to "big up" Tabby as Louis did the same on yesterdays show. Havent watched the programme this morning but Simon must still feel it is anyones show to win.
