All right, my guest helper is someone who is quite well-known here on the forums. He has participated in many games, inculding Risk Factor, every series of NTA, every single round of the NEXFG, my very own The Mix Factor AND DS: The Mix Up and countless other games: it's the one and only batman. (better known as Seth)!

Great to see you here Seth! Let's kick off EoS' boy's battles. The first pair that are ready to perform are...Sam Kelly & Philip Phillips!

Only one will get through. Here they are performing 'Electric High' by Elliot Minor!

Sam Kelly & Philip Phillips:

I absolutely loved this song for you two! I thought Phillip really shone with the acoustic-rock style as that is his forte, but at the same time I thought Sam definitely gave him a run for his money and it brought out a different edge in his voice. I'd say Sam was the winner here; he really showed off a different side of his voice which I'm interested to here more of.

Hey there guys, well done to you both for making this far. This was a very good battle between you both. Sam, I'm not your biggest fan and I am surprised that you have made it this far. But Philip, this song was so suited for you and you gave it so much there. For me, Philip wins this battle, hands down.

This is a really interesting song choice, I liked that you didn't go with a really boring indie acoustic song as if you had, it would have made the two artists a bit one dimensional. Both of you did incredibly well but I feel like this song highlighted Phillip's amazing raspy vocals and I would therefore go with her!

I really liked this battle guys, I thought both of you did an amazing job on this one! However, only one of you can go through to the liveshows... The act I'm taking through is the one who I think is more versatile than the other and has a really interesting tone to his voice that I'd love to continue to work with, and (sorry Seth) that's Philip Phillips!

Well done to Philip! Also commiserations to Sam but well done on getting to this stage!

Next up hoping to impress EoS to be in his top 4 are...Ben Kelly & Jay Norton!

And here they are performing 'All The Pretty Girls' by Fun.

That was another very good battle from the boys. Ben, if there was ever a song that would match you from top to bottom, this was it. I dare say that you're becoming a front-runner in this competition. Jay, I think was really good from you as well, but only the best can make the top four. And for me, I'd like to see Ben make it.

Ben Kelly and Jay Norton:

This was an interesting song choice to say the least, I wasn't overly keen on the harmonies but apart from that, it was a good performance. However, this was an easy one, there was really very little in it, Ben absolutely smashed the song choice so that battle easily goes to Ben Kelly!

That was a brilliant battle guys! It was so fun, and I really enjoyed it. It suited you both individually and you brought but something different to the song, and EoS has a difficult decision here as you are both so different and unique as artists. Personally, I think Ben edged it for me.

I absolutely loved this battle guys! You two are such interesting acts, and perhaps two of the few real 'performers' in the competition. I paired you up because I think you would constantly steal each other's thunder if both of you were in the live shows. The act that I'm putting through is the act that impressed me the most of the two, and without a doubt that's Ben Kelly!

Huge well done to Ben! But also a huge commiserations to Jay, what a valiant effort from you!

The third battle from the boys and hoping to get through to the live shows are...Chris Doe & Darcy Callus!

And now here they are battling it out by performing 'Down In The Valley' by The Head and the Heart.

That battle was actually so much better than I was expecting guys! I don't mean that I wasn't expecting much, but you two aren't the best male vocalists in the competition yet you really brought it just then with that performace. Despite not having powerful voices you both have distinctive tones which the song really brought out. It was a close battle, but my personal preference would be Chris.

Chris Doe and Darcy Callus:

I like both of you guys, you both have great voices and this was a nice song. However, for me, whilst I love Chris' voice, this didn't allow him to really show his great rock grit, it was lacking something. On the other hand, it did capture Darcy's voice effortlessly so it's an easy one for me, I would send Darcy through.

Hey there guys, that was a very interesting battle and it was better than I thought it would be. Chris, you took on the song in a calm voice and I liked that a lot. Darcy, this kind of acoustic style will help you go far in the competition. It's to tough this one, I can't pick a winner here. But I think Chris just edges it and should go through.

That was another great battle! This is the decision that I was not looking foward to, as I'm still torn on which one of you to send through... Chris, I really like your voice, but I think Philip already covers the raspy vocals rather well, and he's already through to the liveshows. Darcy, you're one of the least known acts here on the forums, so I'm not sure if I'm willing to take the risk. The act I'm putting through is: Darcy Callus...

Well done Darcy - you're through! But also a huge commiserations to Chris who's been amazing on the show.

And the final battle from the boys tonight comes from...Lascel Wood & Andrew Garcia!

They are now ready on stage and performing 'Let Some Air In' by Alain Clark!

Lascel Woods & Andrew Garcia:

This was an interesting choice in that from the outside it appeared to be the perfect choice for Andrew, yet as the battle progressed Lascel really surprised and was killing his vocals. I think I would go for Lascel in this case as I think he has a stronger voice with more range, and is more versatile; there are so many routes EoS could take him down.

What a great battle this was. Andrew, there's quite a lot I think you can do to improve your vocal range and do more than what you can. And Lascel, what's not to like you?! This was so suited to your voice and you also put your stamp on it like it was yours. Therefore, Lascel should join the top four.
