Enen though he has been convicted, 110 years looks quite harsh, & the Prosecution wanted a 230 year sentence. Isn't it only those convicted of first degree murder that get sentances that long or longer in the US?

I'm sick of these bleeding heart judges. I'll bet you a pound to a penny he'll be out in 75.

Must've ripped off some rich people.

Incidentally, Giles Clarke and a few other ECB bigwigs have done very well to escape all this with their jobs still intact.

Just a reminder of how silly English cricket was during this period:

What a crazy sentencing system they have in the US. He's had a pretty tough time in prison , he was almost beaten to death in one incident , paralised for a few months. Ok the guy's a con artist big time , but he doesn't deserve that kind of sentence in those conditions.

The 'so extraordinary it's meaningless' number of years awarded in US cases is reminiscent of Clive Anderson on Whose Line Is It Anyway ...('very good Josie, two points....and for Tony Slattery and his improvisation of a rapping tumble dryer.....400!!)

There was little in depth coverage on it all.
But I really can't help but think bankers bonuses come to mind every time.

How on earth could they tell the difference between fraud and the massive bonuses prior to mail outs?
