Hey Harry, vocally you remind me a little bit of Craig Colton though you have better control, you're good though, very good. I think you wouldn't go wrong choosing maybe more alternative songs as the two covers that I can see on your profile seem quite over performed on the show. I do actually like your original song, I think your best bet would be to really work on writing as if that's the sort of stuff you can produce then you would do really well performing a song of your own at auditions if you go for it next year. I'd also say maybe think of getting a few singing lessons, you're very good already but there are a few weaknesses in your voice which a coach should be able to fix. However, you're by no means incapable of getting through next year, I really liked 'Sunshine' in particular and think that you definitely would stand a chance. All the best Kevin

okay harry., where do i start? Your tone is.. beautiful.. beautiful beautiful! you seem so much in control of your voice, i was listening to 'wherever you will go'.. i felt a little bit bored while listening., boyyy u need to lett gooo. you are holding it back, you need to reach your climax and get to the high notes, belt it out, push it out, vibrate those vocal chords there a big voice in there.

Has anyone ever performed their own material in an X Factor audition?

They've started allowing it this year, I know of at least three who have so far, I think more actually

I only listened to Stop Crying Your Heart Out b/c that's the only song I recognize...

you sort of have a nice tone. but your vocal is lacking some dynamic, it seems every line you were doing the same thing and ending with a lot of forced vibrato, try to switch things up a bit, maybe be more subtle in parts ... as paula abdul would say "show us all the colors in your voice" hah.

also, you kind of went off melody in a bunch of parts, so try not to do that. and the falsetto thing you tried a couple of times at the end--- personally i'd avoid that. leave those high falsetto notes to girls like leona lewis who, don't be shocked, will always do it better than you hah... why be a second-rate version, right? Plus, you don't want to come across as one of the gender confused contestants who ends up confusing everyone....

also, picking boring/slow songs isn't going to help you stand out b/c it will put people to sleep. and you kind of went off melody in a bunch of parts, so try not to do that.

on the positive side, the talent on The X Factor UK has overall been horrible recently, so if you work on the things I mentioned, I can't see why you shouldn't be able to do better than horrors like Craig Colton, Frankie Cocozza, and the majority of useless contestants they've stuck in boy bands last season.

Hi, I watched one video to Sunshine but I have to admit that I got really bored despite ur voice is pretty decent. If u wanna do shows like XF, u have to bear in mind that the show aims for entertainment. The judges have seen it all so you have to step up to stand out from the crowd because there's a lot of decent singers out there. Do something creative with a song. I really liked what Max Miller did in The Voice with Come Together and Lose Yourself or what Aiden did with Gold Digger or how Olly performed Supersitions. Of course if you can hit notes like Joe McElderry or Matt Cardle - you're save as well but just choose a song that can show it. But beware - if ure them you might fail in the music market

The link did not work so tried with out the www.
Listerning to Stop crying your heart out
I do not know the song 1st time I am hearing it
I think X Factor looking for someone who can not sing their joke factor or someone who got that extra something in their view
If I was a judge I would say yes because you have nice voice but get extra help to see with vocal coach could bring more out of your voice
Not meaning to sound horrid with that comment--even proffesional singers keep on having vocal training
You have better chance if you tried for ''The Voice''

i watched "wherever you will go"... i think you can sing but i think you need to make your own definite spin on the song, make the song your own... sing it as if your life or your lovelife depended on it, lolz!! not sing it like it's just a rehearsal!!

i also clicked on the boyce avenue version and he definitely put his own spin on it, made it his own!! he had enough power and clarity so you can actually hear the words and the message clearly... and he really, really felt the emotion he wanted to convey and more importantly-- was able to convey it in a song!! and you can hear where subtly he climaxed in that song!!

i wasn't familiar with the song so when you sang it, i didn't know what it was about. but listening to the original by the calling and boyce avenue, i sort of realised thru their performance what the song was about...

i hope this is constructive enough to keep in mind on your next performances...

ETA forgot to say: Good Luck!!

Aww! Yeah I can see where your coming from, I was brought up in a childrens home etc, I don't have the money to go out and buy £500 recording stuff, it hard for me, but a lot of people cry when I sing live, I'm more of a live performer then recording artist! Many people say when I sing live they feel like I'm singing it from my heart and I show enough power! Thank you tho xoxo
