Gary Barlow has won DOTY 2012

It appears that Gary has won the plastic lid this year, he tweeted earlier:

Ladies, gentlemen, lads, lassies and Peter Andre, I'm proud to tell you all that I've won 'Celebrity Dad of the year 2012' #GbArmyyourock

Isnt that kind of a good thing? He's the famous one, not them. His private life should be just that.

Did he say "I'm so chuffed. This is absolutely fantastic" when he received it?

If not, the end of the world may be nigh.

I have no idea what this award means.

How does anyone know how good a celeb dad or mum is?

I am sure he is, but I still don't get this award.

He'll be pushing for their lives to be fully exposed via a show on ITV2 next year to make the push for it. Take them out of school, put them all to work full time. Then it will be his!

It means Peter Andre doesn't get £5,000 for turning up to collect the award.

I think Peter Andre should've won it. You probably don't know but he loves his kids.

Farce that Peter Andre didn't win it. Does Barlow have to put up with a monster like Katie as an ex wife? No! Pete does everything to protect his children, he is a great dad.

Barlow is probably too busy trying to get a knighthood to pay attention to his kids.

Having kids. Any famewhore with offspring (who's prepared to collect the Mayo lid award at a photo call) can win it. Bastions of parenthood like Peter Andre and Katie Price have won it twice. Past winners include the likes of John Terry and Kerry Katona. I'm sure Gazza Bazza is thrilled to be in such exalted company.

Which is a point in his favour. Unlike Peter Andre. How he ever won that title is a mystery to me.

Well I think it's very gracious of Pezza to allow someone else a turn this year. Don't get too excited, Barlow, it's only a loan

I didn't even know he had good things. Though like someone else said, that's probably a good thing. Much better than milking them for media stories whenever he needs a PR boost!
