CONFIRMED:- ITV Confirm Nicole Scherzinger is the new judge for X Factor 2012

Congratulations Nicole, I wish you luck, she mentored Josh Krajack to 2nd place last year, so she must know her stuff. Yes X Factor USA was not the place for her, however I think she will do an awesome job on our panel

I'm actually happy about this. I didn't hate her on the US show, and I feel her fanbase is primarily over in the UK now anyway so she'll be at ease here.

Could've been a hellova lot worse, we could've had Geri.

Congratz Nicole!

I agreed and would like to congratulate her also.
What lots of others forgot she as Simon would confirmed she was the one that got 1D together also the change of the overs 25 and now look at the success of 1D.

I'm actually alright with her being a judge she was a bit annoying on the US version but I loved her on the 2010 UK version and she did think of putting one direction together think she will be better suited to the UK version

Nice to know that we're getting US's sloppy seconds. Almost as though Cowell doesn't want to renew the program next year - if it hadn't been for her tour, I think Anastacia would've got it.

Awful news, just awful.

She was bloody useless on XFUSA, I mean Josh was amazing anyway, but the fact she ruined him some weeks left a lot to be desired.

Louis must be happy - he loved her when they were working together at bootcamp in series 7.

There could have been worse choices, but I was hoping that Anastacia would have gotten it.

Sometimes I wonder if the producers want the show to fail.

I always felt sorry for Nicole on XF US and I think she'll do a lot better in XF UK so I'm looking forward too it, I'm surprised by the decision though!

IMO i really don't mind who is the judge, i think in our country too much emphasis is being put on who the judges our, instead of the calibre of the contestants, which is sad. If the contestants are of a good quality i will be watching, and too me i think every1 is complaining about nothing, she did fine in our show in 2010.

What an awful appointment Sherzinger is. She was awful on X Factor USA and everyone over there was desperate for Cheryl to come back. Hope she isn't rude to Tulisa as Kelly was. She must realise Tulisa is the star of X Factor - not her!

That's interesting. I wonder who'll replace her next year.

It's not massively important but they should actually pick someone who'd be good at the job rather than just ask the question 'Who's current and available?'
