Again it has to be FPS. After being disappointed by MW2 I've struggled to get into any FPS properly, with the exception of Halo: Anniversary, which took me back 10 years.
I will get Halo 4 I'm sure but I think I'll skip Blops 2. |

I used to enjoy racing games, but now I tend to find them a bit boring. I think that's more down to a shift in my personal preferences than anything else though.

MMORPGs. I still can't stop myself from trying them, but each time I'm soon reminded of why I find playing with other people annoying. If it's not having to wait around for stuff to respawn, it's people inevitably comparing <insert game we're playing> with WoW, as if that's some sort of original rather than the McDonald's of MMOs. Then there are the guilds, either with stricter entry requirements and rules than most companies, or complete anarchies full of kids who don't shut up, or creepy places that invite everyone not in a guild, but where people never seem to talk.

^ I haven't played a football game for years ,I bought the very first fifa international soccer on the megadrive and then the following 'fifa 95' ,think I borrowed a copy of one of the playstation 1 fifa releases also one of the earlier editions of pro evolution soccer ,actua soccer was quite good too from what I can remember.
in the end I think it was the tedium of the yearly update/releases of the same franchise that put me off. |

The last football game I played was Sensible Soccer on the Amiga. I think it was the Amiga anyway. Been a while. Loved that game.

Beat Em Ups
Used to absolutely adore the likes of Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur and Dead or Alive. I just can't be bothered about these types of games anymore though. All these series in my opinion are on a downward slope, and newer series like Blazblue just don't grab me. |

its because imo they haven't made it a fun arcade like game, its geared more towards competitive play. doesn't grab me much either.
the only thing I can suggest is trying the new virtua fighter 5 reboot it looks like it fits the bill of an old skool style beat em up. |

The only type of game I used to love but don't play anymore is footy games, I've never really had love for FPS, although I used to endlessly play fighters when I was a kid but just can't get into them anymore.
Although this is the flip-side of this thread, I have recently rediscovered my love for pinball games! |

RPGS! Not because I'm getting bored of them but just that they aren't as great as they used to be...the plotlines in them aren't anything special nowadays; characterization isn't developed enough and this just makes me feel that they are repetitive - if the story isn't engaging an rpg is just countless battle encounters over and over again. If I want a grind I'll play an mmorpg.
