Hullomail alternatives

Anyone here use Hullomail?
Or a similar/competing service?

I've been using Hullomail for a while now, in part because it gives me free voicemail (call diverts come out of my inclusive minutes) whereas T-Mobile's own voicemail service is chargeable on my particular tariff.
The other reason I use it is that it supports a visual voicemail interface.

But increasingly, over time, they're stripping features out of the free app and charging an annual fee for them (like e-mailing an mp3 of the voicemail message to you).
If it were a one-off charge for a premium app I wouldn't mind but I don't use voicemail often enough to warrant paying for it on an on-going basis.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend any similar services, if indeed they exist.
The key criteria are that it's free to use on T-Mobile (UK) and, at the very least, offers visual voicemail support. Beyond that, the more features the better.

you can still get an email of the mp3, you just have to request it individually.

I'm not aware of anything similar, and frankly, have no problems paying £6 a year for all the features...though the free one is still pretty good.

Up until now, I got them automatically as part of the free service.

At £6/year, I'd be cheaper using T-Mobile's own service, so I don't really see the value of it - especially not when there is a free version of Hullomail.

If there is nothing else, that's not the end of the world, it's better than nothing.
But these changes just had me thinking that maybe now was the time to look elsewhere.

nope, select message, hit menu, "copy to my email". It won't do it automatically, but I only have the free one currently and it has this- I've just tried it. "Get them all sent automatically to your email" hasn't been available for free since I signed up in February.

If you're only looking for the cheapest service, stick to free Hullomail and do without auto-emailing. I use it because I like the visual voicemail thing - a welcome end to 'press 1 to delete' type prompts and retrieval. Plus able to listen to your messages online.

I tried that the other day and it didn't work.
Though whether that's because I have 'sync' set-up, I don't know.

I signed up over a year ago, so I'm 'grandfathered' in.
But it's set to be removed shortly.

Fair enough...to be honest I had a good look round at the start of the year and Hullomail seemed to be without competitors, at least this side of the Atlantic.... I have a nasty feeling their income isn't that great, which is why I don't mind paying a bit... don't want them to close down

I'm sure I've seen other services mentioned in the past but whether they're still operating or if they cost more or are, maybe, business-oriented, who knows.

not sure if it's the same thing I'm using voxsci (www.voxsci.com) I have my voicemail in their iphone app and it emails me a mp3 with transcription. Love the service and means I don't need to listen to the voicemails now, Anyway that's my 2cents.

I use Hullomail but have not used the VM to email. I just find that the basic visual VM is enough and better than my providers rubbish.
I suppose you could look at google voice as a possible replacement if VM to email is an important feature..

unfortunately google voice is only available on us-numbers...

If you get lots of witheld/private numbers or spam callers it might be worth holding out a little longer for Hullomail. I've got the premium edition and you can assign individual greetings for different people however I've spoken to the developers and they've told me in an upcoming ypdate they'll include the ability to record a greeting for private/blank numbers too. A great way to say "I don't accept withheld numbers, either call back with a proper number or *&%$ off"
