Yes, am Finnish and there is this fab thing called TV-Kaista Internet TV that works all over the world, you have to pay for it though. I think the copyrights people are not totally happy with it, but they have been going on for years now anyway.

^ Ah, you're Finnish, in that case I think we kind of know each other from elsewhere

Love that!

Their two kids are also heavily involved. Imo was quite thrilling, real and surreal at the same time.

Here's a short teaser of the 1st episode:

Love that opening theme song by the Raveonettes (All of the soundtrack, actually.)

Hope they will show it in the UK, too, one day!
Thanks rosetta.

Just watched the first episode repeated on the Finnish YLE and enjoyed it a lot! And it has Pernille Birk-Larsen starring (she is really funny too!) as well as Søren Pilmark, of course one of the Eurovision hosts in 2001. Let's hope our British broadcasters will not just pick dramas, as this one seems great too.

Will check out Rosetta12 recommendation next

Couple of Finnish thrillers that look interesting too (would be good to hear if they are any good):

The 2 BIB's - I hope BBC4 (or other terrestrial tv) pick up a few more series for our enjoyment too - and not just the Eurodramas. If the quality is there, whatever the genre, I 'd love to see them.

don't know, has anyone? It'd be great to have a Euro/Rest of the World section alongside the US & UK ones on DS.

Sounds like a good idea- would love a specialised euro drama chat thread

I caught up with Spiral spoiler tags for anyone who hasn't watched it, but I have a question :
Spoiler

Spiral has its last 2 episodes on Saturday - then hopefully series 3 so I will almost fully have caught up

sorry minks I can't help you with your spoiler question. I don't think policeman in clink was anything to do with S1 but I can't be sure.

I hope BBC4 repeat S3 before they show S4 too. It would make sense for them wouldn't it?

This one is one of those "spot the actor" ones, have seen Troels Höxenhaven and Ulrik Mørch off Borgen in the first two episodes already and Jesper Andersson off The Bridge at least... (I hope these are not seen as spoilers? Of course we have no idea whether we get these ever in the UK)

Now found the Swedish Johan Falk too, had no idea that Holder off the American version of The Killing is starring in it, he is half-Swedish! Endless connections! Have also missed the Swedish Easy money movie, which he is also in.. have we had that here in the UK? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1291652/

Not seen that film ...but Holder being half Swedish is a surprise! I have been watching the US remake on Channel 4, which has been a bit turgid, but the last couple of weeks it has really got going. It's good they decided to kill off season 1 (Danish version's) killer early though, so we can hopefully rule him out

Are you talking about this series: http://www.thespiraltheseries.com/

As I didn't know this one had any more than just the one series of 5 episodes? Or don't think it does, so it must be a different Spiral..?

Anyway, The Spiral (linked above) was hands down one of the most exciting crime dramas I've seen. And a euro drama in the full sense of the word, being a collaboration of several EU countries, plus an interesting novelty as an interactive multimedia series.

No they're talking about the French series Spiral, though I think the original French name didn't actually translate as Spiral (possibly). It's been around a few years.

Ok, thanks! Must admit that French series is an unknown entity for me - possibly they've shown it with an entirely different name over here.

In any case, I fully recommend The Spiral, if you haven't seen it already

OOo that does look interesting, but as gottago says, I meant the French series
