Lets wait n see... I'm assuming it will be shown on tele at some point?

Behind all the naughtiness theres actually a really decent bloke there, that always comes across in interviews.
I'm sure he can be decent so why doesn't he show it?

Sleepiung with many many women and being generally lewd and all that does not show a decent person.

Did you actually listen to the show? It was actually Ross who was egging brand on, but anyway... They behaved like a couple of naughty school boys but it wasn't malicious. The media went mental, a man lost his job and we all moved on...
Rossy was an idiot too and he should have been sacked or given a pay cut. But if he egged Brand to jump off a cliff would he have done that?

A few people have said that Brand likes to dish it out to people but doesn't like it when people dish it out to him.

But I don't think Russell Brand is that type of comedian. Apart from the Andrew Sachs situation where he didn't even instigate it, I don't recall him ever having a go at any people in particular.

Russell is vile, once joked about children with cancer when he did big brother's little brother. I wrote a complain to Chanel 4. Normally I am never a person who complains about being "offended" but he went too far and I was disgusted.

Him and Perry deserve each other.

I agree that people need to get over the Andrew Sachs incident, but Russell is still being a bit hypocritical here. A couple of weeks ago he was happy to make jokes and poke fun at his divorce when hosting the MTV Music awards, but now he's all offended when Graham Norton does the same thing?

Plus, he could've specifically asked Graham not to ask any questions about the divorce (which I presume is what Katy did last week).

Does anyone else think that Emily Blunt (who was a guest alongside Russell last night) looks quite like Katy? A more natural Katy anyway.

It doesn't matter what the aftermath was. The fact is that it occured. Brand is a hypocrite, not only for whining about being the recipient of offence when he's been a perpetrator of it in the past, but also convieniently forgetting that he himself was making jokes about his divorce during his abysmal hosting of the MTV Movie Awards just over a week ago.

I hate Russell Brand so much, he didn't even let the other guests talk without interrupting every second. He has to permanently be the centre of attention and he only wants good attention too.
I'm glad Graham Norton asked about the marriage. It wasn't in a horrible way.
RB is so far up his own arse and he is utter scum, utter, utter scum in every way.

Graham Norton should tell him to grow up and piss off.

I generally quite like Norton & his style but I'm not sure bringing up someone's divorce is suitable or worthy material for his show and would've been decent for him to run it by Brand beforehand.

I barely know anything of Brand, bar the incident with Andrew Sachs. That was vile & deserved everything he got & more - but it shouldn't exclude him or anyone from questioning this sort of issue in the name of "hypocrisy"

It should, because as it has been mentioned, Brand himself used the divorce to get a laugh (and failed) at the MTV awards, so he can't be that sensitive about it.

I agree. I can think of many other people worth being offended by and disliking.

He turned up to film an MTV show dressed as Bin Laden on September 12, 2001. He does not deserve leeway.

Seriously, the guy is a dickish former crackhead who thinks talking Dickensian gubbins while looking like an anorexic tramp can allow him to get away with anything. He wants to dish it but not take it. If he wanted something off the table it is up to him and his management to declare it off limits much like Cheryl Cole does not talk about Ashley Cole anymore or will ask for the subject to be dropped fairly quickly since she doesn't like to talk about it anymore. Graham was doing his job, it's just a shame Russell and his management think they are above doing their own by being entertaining and not irritating and protecting their client respectively.

Wow. We've moved from going on about something that happened 4 years ago to something that happened eleven years ago now.

What next ?. Using something he did at school as a means to bash him ?

Brand looked really annoyed when Norton switched his focus to the woman sitting next to him

Yes, I think its very unfair to use the Bin Laden thing against him. He was a drug addict at the time and has now cleaned himself up after a lot of hard work. We've all done stupid things in the past. You can't judge him on that forever.

People will though. I think it's the nature of celebrity - people seem to have very, very long memories when it comes to bashing someone they don't like.

That's the beauty of humour and the fact it's subjective. I personally don't find Peter Kay or Ricky Gervais remotely funny but many people do.

I don't find either of those funny either.

I've never understood why so many women find Brand appealing.

He always looks like a needs a good scrub to me.

What's more, Norton and Brand are BOTH comedians so seriously they are no strangers to mockery.

Wouldn't it have been better for Brand to have just laughed it all off and made some jokes? As for his mum, she would have known a fair bit about the marriage anyway so why let it get to her or even why was she there?

Whatever way you look at it, prevention is better than cure and this could have been very easily prevented.

Yep, they are still going on and on about it, if you read the comments on the DM site and on here you would think that Brand was the reincarnation of Hitler. Totally OT.

I think RB is a good guy.

Same here. Couldn't stand him on the Big Brother spin off. As a Comedian something of a zero. Obviously he courts controversy, which makes "you've upset my Mum" more likely to be him working the media, as its difficult to take him seriously.

I admit I was only half watching but did they edit the Katy Perry questions out? Because I don't remember hearing any argument and him saying his mum's crying.

I thought it was a bit unfair on Norton. If there was something Brand specifically didn't want mentioning he should have brought it up prior to the show. It isn't as if it was an unexpected question.
