Definitely Ross in Friends.
So self righteous and whiny. Started to like him more when he lost his job and had a breakdown, he was more laid back but then by the later seasons was back to his whiny self. And not in an entertaining way.
The actor also seemed to take himself way more seriously than all the others too.

Yes Ross was really annoying and I hate how the show was centred around him.

I agree with those who mentioned Ross from Friends-such a whiny guy, could never understand what Rachel saw in him. Also agree with Albert Steptoe. Would like to suggest Hyacinth Bucket from Keeping up Appearances-someone like her in real life would drive me up the proverbial wall

Albert Steptoe.

Wonderfully written and acted character, but most peoples worst nightmare. Sly, unhygienic and grasping, not to mention a selfish husband and feckless, inconsiderate father.

Bloody funny, though!

I love Ross! Red Ross, the Sandwich, PIVOT, the teeth whitening and tanning and so many other Ross moments are the funniest parts of the show!

It's all his grilfriends who bring him down. and to that end:

His fiance/sort of but not really wife Emily was the worst character in anything, ever.

Cassandra from OFAH - ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

Joey in Friends - felt his character was too unrealistic and OTT especially his obssession with food (whilst conveniently maintaining a maximuslce body)

Charlie from Friends, I refuse to watch anything with Aisha Tyler in it now (Which thankfully isn't much since she's so crap)

Can't stand Ted from How I Met Your Mother either, but Charlie is way ahead of him on the dislike scale.

*shudders* at the thought of Emily. Also can't watch anything with that stupid bint baxendale either. She ended every sentence with a "huh" she drove me mad!

Agree re: Ross, single Ross is totally fine, Ross with Rachel is fine, even Ross with Mona (I think she's sadly forgotten because she wasn't as loathesome as his other girlfriends (Also can't stand Julie or Elizabeth) was ok.

He was always great with Carol and especially Susan, I LOVED their relationship and how (I felt anyway) in the end they were actually kinda close.

AWP is not a sitcom, it is a Drama with Comedy thrown in, so doesn't count, & the McGowan character was written that way as you always get some people looking for a fight. Think McGowan is only in 3 episodes of AWP though.

Theirs one worse than that. David Brent from the office. The most unfunny sitcom ever made. His silly little dance that after it aired was over hyped the hell on shows and dvd trailers.

Just a bad program.

Does anyone watch Cougar Town?

My vote goes to Jules Cobb. So unlikeable, especially for a lead character.

Hyacinth's dad in Keeping Up Appearances. Even though the character never spoke whenever he appeared on screen I had to turn over because he got on my nerves so much.

I also disliked Charlie and Emily in Friends, Charlie because she couldn't act and Emily for her 'Oh golly gosh jolly hockey sticks' English accent. I hate English characters in American shows in general as they have to play the American version of what they think an English person sounds like.

Granville was born to work for his uncle he had no right to go after girls he had a shop to work in he could have fun when Arkwright died until then he works 5am to 9pm.

That business would be his one day and he never thought about that just getting his end away.

Dislike;

Ashely Jensen, when she played the over loud , over acted 'Rosie' in May to December, totally ruined the last series for me, as the chemistry between Miss Flood & Hilary and the rest of the cast was great.
