You can take your time, change your mind as much as you like, browse various menus, pay by card, not need to speak to someone, and be reassured 99% of the time your order will be right as its printed off for them.

What's not to love?!

I use to it pay for food that I'm sending to someone else, so I can send a takeaway to my brother, paying with my card, when he's at a different location.

I love the food that my favourite Pizza place and Indian food takeaway prepare, but trying to get through to them on the phone and successfully communicate my order to them whilst also giving my credit card details is a damn nightmare. The phone at the Indian takeaway is in the kitchen and it's so noisy in the background, and the Pizza place, well, I hope they don't let whoever it is that picks up the phone ever use the controls on the oven, he's a bloody idiot. Ordering online is so much easier. And quicker.

It does have it's advantages. I can never find the menus when I fancy a takeaway. I'm positive I put them in the kitchen draw next to the carrier bag breeding centre but they are never there.

It is handy for when you do not have any cash, or enough cash to pay for it on delivery, you can pay for your food using a credit or debit card.

Hee hee

What do you think will be the next development in convenience food?

If I update my status on Facebook to 'I'm hungry', will someone immediately come round and feed me?

They turned up 30 minutes ago. He apologised profusely though and the food was still hot so it was all good.

i must admit, i had never heard of this service until a day or so ago, on this very forum. i am ashamed to admit that i was perhaps a bit sneering as to how this could possibly be a viable enterprise and even suggested its users must merely be lazy (sorry rockerchick)

however

after looking at it and how it seemingly works, i happen to think they might just have something, and found myself quite interested in take-away info for my area. i'm always glad to admit I may have been wrong..

hmm. Maybe I'll try it...?

Can usually order direct with take aways with credit card and also you dont have to pay the 50p that Just Eat charge you to pay with credit card.

Also have had trouble with Just Eat in the past not passing on my order even after confirmation so just use their menu now and then phone the take away directly.

Only one indian near me and one chippy take card payments, so JE is a lifesaver then, and I can get a good look at a menu.
