Did anyone catch the sight of Caroline's ghastly 'friends' on BBOTS the other night?
They used a term 'PLU' ( People Like Us) as if to say that anyone not like them was worthless...should have seen the state of them and the way they were talking...didn't look they had done a day of work between them and came across as quite thick....the Harry Enfield character Tim 'Dim but Nice' sprang to mind expect the fact that they weren't nice...

Can I just point out, before this assumes the status of myth, that it was a parody of Made In chelsea, the friends were doing some comic acting, and Alice Levine thanked them for being such good sports as soon as it had finished.

Rather amusing I thought
They reminded me of the two posh friends from BBC sitcom Miranda "Bear with" |

The 'PLU' concept is a long established jokey thing - not really meant to be taken seriously - they certainly did not come up with it themselves ...
I am not sure that I am an admirer of Caroline or her pals but think it is silly to condemn them for what was so obviously a parody (which they had been 'egged on' to do ... ) |

So on that basis Caroline's whole hideous persona thus far is just an 'act' and Channel5 will simply thank her afterwards...

What I hated was the way she 'laughed' her way in on opening night...I'm sure 'daddy' knows someone in the telly business..which is how she has squirmed in

I've never seen 'Made in Chelsea', but I got that it was an 'act'.
Assumed it was just a Sloaney/'posh bird' pisstake. |

Are you denying that this was the case? You are not the only person who missed Alice's statement about them being such good sports - there were various people on twitter who had thought it was serious. But still, if you look back, you will see that it was obviously set up between the three of them. The restaurant was the same one that is used in Made in Chelsea, which was another clue. Caroline is not from London, and it is unlikely that Notting Hill is her normal social venue. As for her persona, I don't feel that I know her well enough to judge. She is amusing and spiky, like one of the Mitfords suddenly propelled into Big Brother, though whether she is a good Mitford or a Unity Mitford I can't tell yet. |

I can imagine Caroline looking down on others...even though she is some rich daddys girl who is on a second gap year in a row.

Made in Chelsea has some amusing moments. Some of the cast did a celebrity Come Dine with Me which was very funny, I thought.
I liked Caroline's friends, good sports. |
