Not army - RAF - the joke was that Selby's character was the shouty, bullying RAF Sergent ... who was afraid of flying
I recall it being quite good in the early series when Robert Lyndsey was in it too.

Anyway - tonights gaff looked very good value - don't care much for the Mrs but I think she's being set up by the program to being a tit-for-tatter with the 'filthgate' walkout tomorrow. Of course there may not be a walkout as it may transpire that tomorrows 'activity' is an acting improv workshop

Are the 2 blokes gay and does anyone really think that woman stomped out of their place because it was filthy?

Tony (I use only his first name as I have been in a jacuzzi with him ) is one of those actors who turned up in all sorts of things. Apart from the RAF thing he has been in Minder, The Bill, Lovejoy etc. etc. The type who you think "I know him, but what is his name?"

Yes, the two blokes are gay and are a couple (they were introduced as partners so I read that as partners in life, not just in business).

Yes, he looks like the Amos guy, and is about as funny. Who on earth tests a shower without lifting the spray head off and holding it low down?...........well her obviously.

I've read the bad reviews on Trip Advisor
To be fair there are some good ones too, but after working out whether the bad ones are likely to be genuine and bonefide, there's no way you'd get me there.
As Normandie (I think) said after I posted links, they've not made any effort to address the negative feedback either.

Thought the same, although of course, just happening to have a camera crew in the bathroom as she was 'preparing to get in the shower' is unusual too

I thought last night's place looked lovely and good value compared to other places that've featured on the programme.
Was very surprised at the stained cleaning cloth although it didn't look dirty to me, it looked like the cloths that I used on my steam cleaner. I bleach and boil wash them but they remain stained.
The dirty glasses in the room foxed me too, as I imagine he in particular is the sort of person who'd check, double check, ask her to check and then go and have a final check to make sure everything was spick and span.

My OH is far better at cleaning than I am. And he's most definitely not gay!

Same here! Mr Tommo took early retirement, and became a house husband. Since I have retired, he says I don't do the cleaning properly, so he does most of it.

I do the laundry and gardening though.

Funny how you build up a picture in your head of various FM's....I never had you down as "retired"

Did the announcer just say they were all getting vajazzled?

Contrived dirty-gay-gate on its way.

Didn't see yesterday's show but the couple who hosted yesterday seem quite annoying.

Why the bloody hell are they trying to pull the window shutters over, they aren't meant to be shut.

Also who pulls a shower plug out?

By not staying for breakfast either I feel the woman wants for them to fail-I like him but I don't like her,

Seems they only took over a year before filming and it's a 'work in progress', so maybe those really bad reviews on TA were not directed at these two?
