When the 360 launched at the end of 2005, it cost MS a lot more to make than £279.99. The PS3 has shown what happens if you launch at too high a price, I think even someone from Sony admitted recently that the launch price hurt it. |

Heard that MS will release a version of the console based at casual games and another for hardcore gamers. Seems a good idea in my opinion.

Yeah - like they do now I'd imagine, bog standard, limited space, then a full-on version with backwards compatibility, large hard drive, maybe Kinect v2 bundled.

That one is not the tablet the top one is tablet and the other one is a PC that Is currently unknown. The details do fit with the heavily rumoured tablet in the next hour. However we will know for sure at 11:30PM.

Live blog Yeah I do too. However the cable idea etc will never make it to the UK market anyway. |

So long as Usher doesn't turn up.
On-screen visuals of Xbox and 360 - but also a mouse. Lots of hardware. Tablet incoming. Microsoft Intellimouse was great

Wonder any off the other information was legit ? They got name nearly spot on. Those Specs would make a decent tablet.

Isn't it a bit early to be showing this off, especially as it was only scheduled last week? Why the rush.

One thing's for sure, it's gonna kick some serious arse when it does arrive. Full B/C would be so good, only reason 360 didn't have hardware emulation is due to MS not owning the rights to the Xbox hardware itself so I'm sure they won't neglect that if they have a choice in the matter.

Personally I don't give a monkeys on BC, but I don't tend to sell or trade my old consoles in. If we see the commitment to out-do the competition like we did with the tablet yesterday I think I'll be switching back to Xbox. |

I always trade my old consoles in sometimes it helps when at game or gamestation they have special offers when you trade in your old console towards a new one.

Why are so many people upset over this. It sounds great, also it's 2 years old so a lot can changed that time, especially the specs but to me that sounds powerful enough for next gen. I don't think we're gonna have to wait for next E3 for this to be unveiled. All of MS best devs have all moved on to the new platform now so it can't be too long.
