Netflix on Xbox 360
My gold membership ran out last night and reverted to free membership but I can still use Netflix. I was under the impression that Netflix required gold and everything I've read only suggests that as well.
Has anyone experienced anything similar? If I can get away with I won't bother getting Live again because I only use the Xbox for Netflix and Skyrim at the moment. It's not exactly cheap with the unblock us subscription added on either. |

Nope. MS is running a free XBL Gold weekend.
Come tomorrow, you won't be able to use Netflix (or any other app that needs Gold). http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1677269 |

It's probably the only thing I don't like about my 360, nothing is free. For services like Netflix it should be free (as it is on the PS3 and other boxes like ATV etc...). You can see if XBOX Live US has a special offer at the moment, I got one month for $1 4 months ago but it's not eternal. That's why I got an AppleTV (and for renting some movies on the US store). -Eban |
