Well, after the infamous "Britney" week a lot of people had written them off. Yes, they were in the bottom 2 last week, despite a brilliant performance. Circle of Life was not mainstream enough and perhaps the staging was too musical theatre, a lot of people have said. But they survived and are still very much in this competition. What is very significant is their resurgence in the This Morning Poll (which seems to be mirrored in the winner`s poll on this thread. So, are we seeing the beginning of the G4 come-back?? The last "dark horse" in a reality show (Alistair Griffin - received nothing but derision and personal insults from Richard Parkes every week and was told he didn`t deserve to remain in the competition. He was given the dark horse tag, the public got behind him and he ended up a very credible runner-up. According to reports, G4 have a "cracker of a song" this week, so will we see the dark horses coming through the inside rails and through to the finishing line????? Despite what the bookies and others are saying, I think the competition is still wide open, and as Simon said, at this stage it is ALL down to song choices.

Right. Having got that off my chest, this 25 year old "kiddie" shall now return to Team Dark Horse HQ (much to the relief of Baileybots, Moogester et al) ......for our usual diverse and meaningful discussions ranging from.......Jon`s bum, Jon`s "Magic Flute", Jon and steamy saunas, wheelie bins (other uses!!!), tacky wedding planners etc, etc. You don`t have to be mad to join us but it does help

That's absolute bollox, and you know it.

G4 were hotly tipped to win this when they got into the final group stages. They were pretty much hot favourites to win this.

So don't be pretending that G4 are dark horses, or underdogs.....LOL.
Nobody is going to fall for a cheap trick like that.

I don't think Penny is trying to "trick" anyone. She simply states her thoughts. So no need for you to come back with such an answer

Dark horses or not, win or not, I just hope that the boys do well AFTER the competition and give us some good albums for us fans to enjoy their singing

I like G4 but Louis is ruining them. They were among the favourites to win originally but the Britney week changed a lot of peoples minds about them.
I think it's a great shame that they're in Louis care at the moment.
They were much better and more themselves in the auditions. They may pull it back but Louis has spoilt them for me.

couldnt resist the dig could you, i started to read this post and was going to replie that "yes G4 maybe the dark horse and may yet win", .. but i might have known that the name calling would start,.. what are you?,.. 25 going on 10, you like to play with the kids because you are not very mature yourself are you?, that said i have been fair and kept of the "Team G4" thread and let the kids have their fun, i will still keep off i wont go down to your level, and i will be doing the same as others, putting you on ignor, then i dont have to deal with you popping up in every thread with your insults and cry baby ways.

i still don't think all is lost for G4 and they can turn it around and win

it all depends on the song choices though, they'd probably need a few of the new faves to screw up along the way too

Are G4 dark horses - simple answer no. Like an unfit mare they are running backwards. I expect them to go on Saturday. Any less will be a travesty.

Perhaps we can look at the main betting odds to see how 'G4' will be placed in the competition. Because of the bets placed, all bookies are saying that Louis Walsh will be the first 'judge' to have no acts - and one bookmaker is so certain, that they are offering Louis a free £1,000 bet on 'G4' being in first position. People who place the large bets, do tend to vote for who they want to win - hence 'G4' are tipped to leave the show soon. As for "a cracker of a song this week" - Louis has been saying that EVERY week - and I'm still waiting to hear one.

........no it wasn`t Louis who said that it was Philip Schofield as Louis had told him on Monday. I am VERY hopeful.

........aawww, thank you dear friend.......I find it best just to turn a blind eye - otherwise you just get stressed. I really find it quite insulting when certain people can call you immature when they know absolutely nothing about you. What I was trying to do was to inject some humour (yes, baileybots.......humour!!) I shall now return to my true friends over in HQ and chill and have a laugh and not take life too seriously because quite honestly there is enough misery in the world at the moment.
