Which two hander episode of EastEnders would you say is your favourite, mine would have to be the very first one with dan and angie as at the time of transmission, nobody had heard of just two people getting shown in an episode. Also because it was filled with drama and good dialogue.

Which is your favourite and why?

I've never been a big fan of the two-handers. I LOVE the idea, but they usually do them for storylines I am not interested in! I liked the Kat/Zoe one a lot. And Dot/Ethel.

I don't like the two-hander episodes because:

1. trying to stretch a scene over a whole episode leads to unrealistic dialogue

2. the switching of emotional tone from neutral/happy to upset to arguing and back to neutral/happy etc also doesn't ring true

3. Usually, the actual story isn't moved on and in the next episode it's as if it never happened - the characters just carry on as before.

Remember the Michelle/Sharon episode, where she told
Sharon who Vicki's dad was?

The Den/Angie episode was great

Sharon & Den - 2003.
Kat & Zoe - 2001
Phil & Lisa - 2003

Kat & Alife - (forgot the year. Maybe 2004)
Definitely NOT this. Absolutely hated him searching for a condom.

Tracy and Mr Popodopoulos, filmed, I believe, in 2007, but now only available on some very dodgy pay-per-view channels, unfortunately.

What about a single handed episode? Didn't Dot have one a few years ago?...I never saw it though. Was it good?

Yes, Dot had one. She was recording onto a tape player and speaking out loud. It was fantastic in my opinion.

I love 2/3/4 hander episodes. I think EE does them brilliantly and they are a great in depth look at a character or 2 character's relationship.
