Everyone happy.

Although its quite possible they might use the Lottery as a way of filling the gap whilst the roof closes at the air conditioning gets the conditions right.

Perhaps you could watch another channel or do something else and leave it to those us who enjoy the great unscripted drama of sport?

As for minority interest. Say that again when the ratings for this evening are available

Perhaps ten hours of such 'sport' (sic) is enough,so no I'll complain because most people couldn't give a damn about it whoever's playing..............

Given that ITV is showing Harry Potter dross I'm guessing many people will have switched off.

'Most people' or just you? Ever thought other people might enjoy different things? Seems rather a lot of people are interested given the attendances each year and the ratings for a game like this.

I like tennis, but it has been on all day and it was scheduled for BBC2. If people want to watch it further, they can change the channel.

BBC 2 was originally set to have "The Men That Made Us Fat" on Thursday @ 9PM, but for the unspeakable reason, it didn't get shown.
Has the BBC said when it's being repeated or does anyone know when it's being shown again?

Yep that's right there is too much tennis on the BBC.

Forget the fact I AM FORCED BY LAW to pay the licence fee to pay for crap like Eastenders.

But for 2 weeks of the year the BBC shows something I enjoy an people want to moan lol. I enjoy TV but not the BBC yet if I don't pay my licence fee I face court and a fine.

I do not understand why my licence fee should go towards Eastenders, Countryfile, Doctors and other such mind numbing rubbish but I have to accept it.

I am happy the BBC shows Wimbledon without ad breaks and follows games until they end.

An the men that made us fat is just a "rinse repeat" of the 50+ other such programs that don't seem to realise people got fat because they drank fizzy drinks not water. They ate fried food not freash salads, they watched TV not go jogging.

FAT PEOPLE MADE THEMSELVES FAT!

The BBCs current Wimbledon coverage would have been considered very good in the 80s, but nowadays it's really not very good at all.

Strangely just a few years ago it was far superior.

And it's not the "cuts", these declines began previously to all that unpleasantness.

It's not just the lack of matches, but the general cringey "One Show" vibe the broadcast projects and the truly dreadful commentary from ex-players.

Typical BBC basher.

So programmes that could be on at any time should be available in HD so that live sport isn't?

I agree that the tennis schedule was fine - there was no need to show this match on BBC One HD instead of BBC Two/BBC HD. It also messes up PVRs. However, they should not make Wimbledon on the BBC a minority thing like the French Open used to be. It's the biggest tennis competition of the year, it's in the UK and the BBC is the UK's PSB.

No you're not, nobody is.... It's optional, but let's not let that get in the way of the hyperbole!

The commentary team are a mixed bunch. Lindsey Davenport, Virginia Wade and Tracy Austin all do stellar jobs. Sam Smith and David Mercer are completely cringeworthy. I think the coverage is decent enough overall, save for the lack of red button options on Freeview, but it does grate that for 30 minutes at the start of each day we get studio chat instead of coverage from one of the outside courts.

Sorry Tassium, but that really is gubbins of the highest order.

It's not got worse at all. You're just getting old and look at things through rose tinted glasses.

...just wait until the Open Golf (especially the Saturday/Sunday) when that 30 minutes becomes over an hour (or until Tiger/Rory tees off).

One of the main things I'm looking forward to about the 24 extra streams for the Olympics is escaping the interminable chat taking over from the live action!

Of course, BBC have to cater for everyone.

There are bound to be things you like that other's don't and vice versa. That's how life works.

Tripe. That's greatly exaggerated. The BBC can't please all of the people all of the time.

And how much fun wasn't it to see Nadal lose

The very least they could do is air a ticker or advise the viewers waiting for Wimbledon to finish!
