Macbook Pro USB ports not working
Hi there
Have searched the forum for other threads on this but couldn't find any. I've had my pro as a second home PC for about 6 months. Recently the old PC gave up the ghost and now the pro is in daily use. However, it seems neither of the USB ports are working. I've tried it attached to a printer - says not connected. I've tried memory sticks and they are not seen. I've attached my Blackberry and it says the USB port cannot charge the phone (I've installed the Bberry software but can't complete it because it doesn't see the phone!) Anyone any ideas or do I have to go back to the retailer? Thanks |

Which OSX version are you running?
Have you tried rebooting? Have you tried zapping the PRAM? What does System Profiler tell you about the USB ports? |
