I have a DVD player which only has a coaxial connection for it's digital audio output. I'm currently using a coaxial input in my Amp but would like to use that for my CD player and I only have one. Does anyone know if any form of coaxial to optical adapters exist and if so is there any noticible deteriation in quality.

Thanks.

You could always use a Hi Fi Digital to Analogue converter for this purpose such as those made by Cambridge Audio. I use one of these to connect a DVD pl;ayer, minidisc player and a CD player to my digital amp.
For example my D to A converter has 3 inputs, 2 of them coax and one optical and 3 outputs, 1 coax and 1 optical as well as analogue L+R. You can then select on the front of the converter which input you want to use and it will output it digitally via either the coax or optical output to your digital amp.

Well thats the way I do it anyway. Maybe there is another way and I am sure if anyone knows they will add their 2p's worth.
