Next HDR-T2 OTA Download?

Any ideas if and when the current beta version of software will be approved and released OTA?

Sorry I have no insider info on his. But I do have an opinion. I think 1.02.27 has one to many new bugs and an attempt will be made to fix these first.
See http://hummy.tv/forum/threads/1-02-2...cheerful.1507/ for list.
However, the fixing of the 4GB DLNA client bug may be its saviour.

Why do you ask?
For most people with a USB drive correctly formatted and containing the correct unzipped hdf file at the top level an update is a piece of cake.

Just purely personal curiosity, an update released OTA evidently has to reach a certain amount of testing and scrutiny from Digital Testing... doesnt it?

What happened to downloading the Software via USB, it is not listed anywhere I have tried both of their websites

beta.humaxonline.co.uk - just Copy and Paste this URL into your Address Bar and click Enter and it will take you to the page

Just curious but does anyone know why the version prefix has changed from FHTCP to KZTFT?

It hasn't !

FHTCP is for the HDR-FOX T2
KZTFT is for the HD-FOX T2

But in http://www.dtg.org.uk/industry/download_schedule.php it says HDR-FOX T2- KZTFT1.02.28 as in post #5, doesn't mention FHTCP.

Then it is wrong as usual, it may get corrected before the OTA goes out.

I flashed mine via USB and it's FHTCP. Can get it here: http://beta.humaxonline.co.uk/downloads/hdr-foxt2. Ignore the loader version though, it stays on 7.30. The new loader is only for the HD and not the HDR apparently.

There's a fair few threads on the upgrade floating around. Not sure specifically where I heard it but it's mentioned in lots of them. Was the top one probably.

Also this .28 firmware is now available on the official humaxdigital download site.

Well i decided to do the OTA update, rather than the usb route, even though i flashed it .27 that way.

The OTA download process is very slow, it`s at least going to take an hour to download .28 and that`s before flashing

EDIT : I just got a download error at 54% "ERROR : E-OS" press standby button to restart.

I think i will flash .28 via the usb

John.

Yeah, my OTA is taking ages to download, currently at 51%, I'll see if I get the same error.

EDIT: currently at 56%

Are you sure it didn't update overnight automatically ? Check what version you now have.
