Just got my 1st ipad today and am setting it up and would like to know how i can stop the screen from rotating when i turn the ipad please?

have to say the ipad is one hell great bit of kit.

Go to SETTINGS, GENERAL, find where it says "set side switch to" and select LOCK ROTATION.

Then you can use the little switch oh the side of your iPad to enable / disable the screen rotating.

Press the "action" button TWICE to bring up the "running apps" menu at the bottom of the screen - at the left of this is a "screen rotation lock" button.

The "slide switch" near the volume control can also be configured to lock the screen rotation in "Settings"

Found it there is a little button on top right hand side of Pad to turn rotate off.

Not if your using it in landscape mode there aint........Only joking
