BBC launch 'Live Restart' on iPlayer
A first in the UK, ‘Live Restart’ enables audiences to rewind and restart live TV on BBC iPlayer without waiting for the programme to end.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcintern...e_restart.html It's pretty cool, I've been using the Olympic HD Beta player for some Euro 2012 and F1 races, it really is excellent. With the sport player it adds chapter i.e. Start of video, Kick off, half time etc makes it so much easier to jump to the point you want to view. I think a lot of people have wanted 'live restart' for a while, no more waiting for a programme to be uploaded

It's a great addition to the iPlayer, I wish all channels had live streaming like the iPlayer

I like it, they would introduce it just after The Apprentice finishes though wouldn't they?
It's very easy to miss the beginning of programmes, I often look at the clock and think 'oh crap it started 10 minutes ago'. Great idea, I hope ITV copy it so that I can rewind and skip the adverts online. |
