Well if that is the case, maybe Kristina with Pasha and Aliona moves to partner Robin

I think it is a shame to see her go before she gets the chance to show what she can do with a really good celeb. I hope they get someone good to replace her with as I thought that her and Pasha made a great partnership last year

I'm not sure Kristina would really suit Pasha because his body is kind of willowy like Brian - although she had a great partnership with Brian Fortuna I always thought their bodies weren't that well fitted - Robin is the best pro partner in appearance for her because his muscular body suits her curvy frame. I think Aliona and Artem are well suited in body shape.

If the new girl is 5ft 6 at tallest like Katya - I think they'll probably pair her with Pasha

Aw no I'm so gutted about Katya
I hope she is not too upset about this.
She is funny, fiesty and a great choreographer, It's sad that she will no longer be on the show. Her partnership with Gavin was amazing and it sucks that she never got given a contender, I was certain she would have been given one this year..

I'm gonna miss seeing her and Pasha dance together, I wonder if there is a chance they will tour again.

I'm quite intrigued about who the new dancer will be though, fingers crossed for Anya!

I agree with your sentiments it is very sad about Katya but I guess Pasha will move on to his next partner - probably the one they pair him with on SCD and Katya may now do stuff with Klaus - when Brian Fortuna was dropped from SCD - Kristina formed a new parntership with Robin.

I wonder if it will be Anya who replaces Katya - if it is then there shouldn't be any problems with Pasha dancing with her since he had a long partnership with her before unless there are any personal reasons involved.

Anton & Erin, James & Ola should really have gone.

Are we heading for another year of ridiculous height pairings?

I feel the same way, such a shame for Katya. Maybe she wanted to leave thought Katya deserved a contender this year aswell.

No, no,no,no,no,no.
Kristina and Robin have been brilliant together on the SCD band tour.
And Artem and Aliona worked very well last series.
Pasha can have the mystery dancer.

We obviously dont have any confirmation that there are no other 'sackings' I am genuinly shocked that James & Ola are back I really thought they were for the chop.

Kristina has tweeted today with a thanks for the messages about Strictly and she is very happy to be back so thats a definate confirmed then.

A few other of the pros have confirmed that they're returning (off the top of my head, Robin and James) so I'm presuming that everyone bar Katya is coming back.

It is on BBC Newsbeat, and they say about Katya being the ONLY one to go so it is definitely true I would say.

I follow most of the pros on Twitter:

Natalie/Kristina/Robin all confirmed. James not exactly confirmed (only the Craig tweet).

Anton & Erin haven't tweeted today, neither has Aliona.

Brendan has but not about Strictly (he was doing something at Silverstone today I believe)

I'm sorry that Katya has been dropped.

There are several others I would much more happily have waved goodbye to.

I don't think I ever saw so much talked about Katya during the 3 series she danced in, as there is now she's leaving!

I dont follow them either, I unfollowed James for the exact same reason as you and I have never really warmed to Robin but I looked at their twitter accounts, James tweeted this morning and Robin tweeted around the same time as Kristina

That's a shame, I think she could have been really good with a good partner

This show deserves to tank. It's seemingly run by people with no respect for the public opinion, nor any real intelligence to see what is or is not working.
Shambles!

Why a shambles? Whatever they are doing clearly worked as last season was one of the most successful. Was it not?
