Just to let all you Steve fans know he will be on GMTV tomorrow morning after 7am. Don`t know if he will be performing or just chatting.

Thanks penny. I quite like Steve and will have to remember to tape the show. It will be interesting to know what he has to say about his critics.

BREAKING NEWS

Steve has had a shave........granted not a close shave, but a shave nonetheless. Didn`t catch all he said but something about perhaps changing his song after hearing the one-trick pony comment from Sharon. Think he said they turned on the lights in Covent Garden last night (sorry I was still half asleep).

Just in case anyone is interested, Steve said that he and Rowetta turned on the Christmas lights at Covent garden last night and they had a lot of fun. He doesn't *get* the fame thing, but, it is fun. He was asked about Sharon saying that he grins too much, Steve said it was nerves and he doesn't mind Sharon saying that. Penny said that it had been reported in The mail on sunday that Richard Curtis from Four weddings and a funeral said that he loves Steve and would like him to do the soundtrack to his next romantic comedy. Steve said he had met him and would love to do it. They asked him how he felt about Sharon saying he didn't have soul because he wasn't black. Steve said he thought those days were gone, a bit like what happen last night at the football. But, you don't have time to answer with what you want because you only have a minute to reply. He said he was nervous this week because there has been a change of plan with the songs because of what sharon said about one trick pony and it's all a bit up in the air. He said he had now got a song and it's really good. Although he didn't make it clear what type of song it was. The two presenters (sorry I don't know their names) said that he gets everyones votes there every week. (Why is the studio full of housewives )

If they go out to work, they are not housewives.

Steve was also on LK today. They showed the clip of Steve singing in reply to Sharons one trick pony comment and Lorraine said 'that showed her, well done you'. He said he doesn't want to get too excited because he has come close to making it on a number of occasions and it hasn't happened yet, He is still just working for it. He said he hasn't made it until he has sold loads of CDs. He doesn't want to show how much he wants it because it's difficult to open yourself up for a big kick in the pants. He said he is not sure if they are going to move away from ballads, but when he used to gig he did loads of ballads and up-tempo numbers. He would love to do an up-tempo track. Simon is a pro and knows what he is talking about. They talked about his girlfriend and the reports of them getting married. All of the contestants get on, there *was* a clash between him and Rowetta but they get on fine now and had great fun last night, they went to a bar after they turned on the lights. He said she was lively and fun.

Thank you, I did suspect that it was more than just us Housewives that voted for Steve.

Thanks Angie, I missed the first part and my husband only told me about one tenth of what was said, men . Hopefully this interview will remove some of the "arrogant" tags that have been attached to Steve

He came across as fairly bashful and self-effacing, not arrogant at all.
