Vaccum Cleaner on PS3

What do you use to clean your Ps3 with regards dust i have my Ps3 in a ventalated area and have been reading stuff online about how to keep the noise down. I was gonna use compress air but apparently thats not advised, so will prob give the vents a vaccum tomorrow keeping it about 1 inch from the vents.

I mostly only use my 80gb PHAT PS3 now, and to be truthful I just put it in well ventilated area and have never gone to much effort. Hovering should be fine though that is what do for my PC.

There shouldn't be too much of a problem if you use compressed air then hoover it to get rid of the dust. Using compressed air on its own is a bit silly.

I hoover my PS3 (BC model) every 2 or 3 weeks. Don't forget that as it gets warmer, your room temperature will increase and the PS3 will get hotter, faster, unless you have an air conditioned room.

I've vaccumed my 40GB PS3 vents before, but it didn't make any difference. The fan still becomes loud when it's been on about 40 mins. It's even doing it now even though the weather isn't hot.

The state of the air vents are just an indicator as to what the internals around the fan are going to be like. Cleaning the vents might make a difference if they are well gacked up, but if they are that bad, the fan will still be running in an overcoat. Unless you are opening it up to give it a good clean (I have not done it yet, I'm still in Warrantee), I doubt you will see much difference.
