Can't get UTV & CHANNEL 4

Installed my Bush Freeview box today, great reception on all channels, except no UTV & CH 4.
Using original ariel we use for standard def tv.
Its in roof space,i would say ariel is 30 yrs old.
Would a new ariel do the job in roofspace, don't really want to install outsde ariel.
Can anyone recommend an ariel.
Thankyou

You could just wait until October.
The ITV/C4 signal power will be increased on 24 October, so it should work then.

In the loft, objects cause reflections meaning often some signals are cancelled out whereas others are fine. If you don't want to wait, try moving about objects in your loft (or the aerial itself, though don't turn it around too much or it won't be facing the transmitter) and rescanning. This may take some time to find the "sweet spot" where you can receive all the channels well.

At least those those channels are also available on analogue until the 24th October. Channel 5, ITV2, More4, E4 and UTV+1, Channel 4+1 are on the same digital multiplex, so you won't have them either on digital in the meantime.

That's not in the scope of the opening post/query, referring to digital terrestrial TV

ITV multiplex has been causing problems last week or two with me also. Heard of friends with problems on this multiplex also. Think they are dong some testing on Divis in preparation for DSO.

Have you had a look at the test on BBC One NI, BBC Two NI, utv and C4 Ceefax/Teletext page 284 as a guide to how the signal's shaping up?
