"Fraser T Smith is overseeing production of Leona Lewis’s entire next album, making it the first time a producer has worked across one of her releases."

Wow, I don't know how I feel about this as a Leona fan!

I think what she's doing with him is going through the songs she's recorded over the last year or two and improving them with him so he'll be listed as a producer for all the tracks under 'additional production' or something ..

This article's a good read: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/...s-goes-for-it/

Leona, 27, told me: “Fraser is a great songwriter, great musician and such a cool person to be around and vibe with.

“When you’re in the studio with someone for that long you really have to get along with them.

“We did the EP together last year and I wanted to keep working with him, so we decided to do the whole album.

“I’m doing it old school and feeling it out, and making sure I’m getting the best songs. I keep going back in trying to make the songs better, more spectacular and up my game each time.”

And hooking up with Fraser, 41, has boosted Leona’s confidence.

She added: “This album is going to be more open because I’ve got to work with people I’ve bonded with.

“It’s such a nice way to make an album as I’ve never done that before. People will hear a whole new side of me.

“It’s really refreshing for me to have so much control and Fraser has given me a lot of power in what I’m doing so it’s been different.”

This has been floating around for a while now but has been confirmed. I have to say I'm slightly concerned as there have been reports that he is reworking all the tracks from Glassheart 1.0....it seems that Syco/RCA don't want to take any risks with Leona so have put her with Fraser following the success of Adele's 21...he's a very versatile producer however, so I hope that he doesn't stick with the same sound he did on the Hurt EP because I will be seriously underwhelmed.

Leona needs like 4 big hits, kinda how Adele did. She's got it all, but that's all she's lacking. She's a smart girl too, so I hope it all pays off and her management do right by her...

Leona needs a no. 1 single, a decent top three follow up and, most importantly, a big big album that sticks around more than a few weeks. Nothing copycat.

It's really not looking good for Leona's Glassheart . Several delays. Two major prosponments were pre-sales and advertising had taken place. Initially recorded in July 2010 for autumn/winter release date then moved to early 2011 cancelled to late 2011 as tracks re edited and worked. Cancelled moved to November 2012 and now being re worked again. Given the amount of post production and loss of revenue in advertising Leona will really need to pull this out of the bag. Unfortunately I think a lot of fans have already given up and moved on. She also still lacks stage presence and confidence which is not being helped with all these delays. This could go either way by being a massive hit or huge turkey. She does have an amazing voice but you need to also have likability factor and be consistent. When records have delays holdups and re works to this scale it stinks of her record company not having confidence in her or the tracks. I do feel that Collide should Definatly be removed from track listings as its going to have been over a year and a half passed since release to the album coming out. The track proved not to be so popular and will sound out if place now. Unless Leona gets the global sales and No 1 spots I can see her being the next casualty of the Cowell dropping artists.

He has produced a good range of hit songs and they have been hits spread across different years (so he isn't just a passing fad such as how everything was Timberland produced for a while)

however like the above poster, the big concern is that he is re-producing songs that have been recorded for a while, and the record company clearly didn't have confidence in them back then.
