So when I couldn't find a history of Karen having a background in the dances she will be expected to teach, it makes me wonder if the new producers are going to move even further from the original style of the show.
Nothing against Karen, as I'm sure she is a very good dancer in the dances in which she specialises and may be able to adapt and do what the producers want very well. She may also be very popular.”
I'm very much the same as you - and think along the same lines - but there is something about Karen Hauer - she has incredible stage presence and chemistry - and she dances Latin as it is SUPPOSED to be danced -- particularly, she has a truly beautiful precision in the rumba. I have never seen her dance ballroom but am just hoping that she can dance it and teach it beautifully - am really rooting for her because she's the first dancer since Matthew and Nicole Cutler who has made me feel really excited about watching her. I've seen her many many times in BTF - am so hoping the ballroom matches up too.
I do agree with you though that the producers ARE going further and further away from what it originally was - and that the public like it. I'm really interested to see how she projects on TV because her stage presence is incredible.
