I'm biased as I'm a big fan but for me, Cheryl has the whole package - liability, talent, beauty, charisma and backing from influential figures in the industry such as the adorable Will.I.Am.

The thing with Cheryl is love her or hate her - everyone has an opinion on her. From my nan to my milkman to my priest - she is just so relevant. And to me, that's what its all about currently - its not about her voice or even her looks, its about the fact she's out there and people know she's out there. Even those more talented don't have that.

With an appearance in a big USA film featuring huge stars out, if Will.I.am can market her correctly then I believe she can become as big as Katy Perry or Rihanna. Her new album is VERY good and Call My Name could be HUGE in America. Once she is launched, she will be as huge world wide as she is here.

you can't be serious? She's a singer who can't sing... why on earth would the Americans or anyone else be in the slightest bit interested?

She's a rather mediocre singer, horrible dancer, has an incomprehensible accent and is not particularly charismatic.

Since when has modern pop music been about having a great voice? Rihanna isn't a great singer, neither is Katy Perry. If I want to listen to good signing, I know where to go. Cheryl is about the fun factor because she's a star.

Britney Spears?
Rihanna?
Katy Perry?
Ke$ha?

None of them are great singers and they've all had US #1s. I don't know where the idea came from that you have to sing like Whitney to break America, but it's clearly not true.

I think the biggest thing against Cheryl would be her age, she might just be a couple of years too old. Not that she's old old, but she's older than average becoming a world wide star and the music business is very ageist.

Such a shame that some feel the need to use Cheryl's working class roots as a stick to beat her with. There is nothing wrong with her accent, it is perfectly comprehensible. When she judged X Factor USA, much of the press remarked upon how much they liked her accent.

Americans like British accents and with the influx of Brits in the USA, I'm sure Cheryl could fit in very well.

She has the looks, is a very good performer, but average voice, and has a great PR machine around her.

That's as nice as I am going to get.

op no, it's all in Will.i.am's head and if Will.i.am didn't didn't want her in his bed, Tweedy wouldn't have even been on the voice. She's barely making it in the uk, and the only reason she came back to the uk was because Fox threw her away like a pair of old socks.

You're confusing her with Sherzinger. Cheryl stuck 2 fingers up at Cowell unlike Sherzinger who was second best.

As for barely making it in the UK...LMAO. Have you seen the sale figures for Call my name?

Stuck to fingers up? She lived up Cowells bum until Fox sacked her and then went crying to Will.i.am and sulked and whined for months. Scherzinger was first choice for host and then the princess mucked her job up and Scherzinger got the offers to judge which lasted her all season. How long can she be in the charts with Bieber's album being launched, fans buy it, then sales drop, the voice proved it.

First choice for host but not first choice for host? Very telling.

Cheryl bounced back without Cowell's help, Sherzinger needs Cowell more than Cheryl does. She knew she couldn't have success without him.

Lets wait till we see how many album copies in total she shifts before we say she didn't need X Factor.

She's had mega promo, price reductions signings & her first week sales don't sound as if there'll be amazing. Without X Factor & Xmas sales I believe she isn't going to be a big seller.

Still even 100k would be more than her lack of talent deserves.

Scherzinger was first choice, because of how beautiful she is. Bounced back? With the failed shoes, that awkward three second cameo and "The voice" with low ratings that Kylie beat. Tweedy still needs Cowell, a year from now she'll go crawling back. "She knew she couldn't have success without him" That's a line for Tweedy's whole career.

Exactly my point... they have enough mediocre singers of their own... no need to start importing ours. The only British female singers who enjoy sustained careers in the US have sensational talent, even if just vocally...Dusty Springfield, Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Lisa Stansfield, Adele. Cheryl Cole couldn't have got a job as a backing singer for any of these, let's face it.

She had her chance on The X Factor US and blew it. And she got hold of Call My Name which is strong enough for the US, yet has ruled out any plans to go there, so I'd say no.

Lisa Stansfield has hardly sustained a successful career in the US. She had brief success with her debut album and pretty much fell of the radar after that. Kate Bush, while being critically acclaimed, has also never really broken the US.

Only if she changes her style of music, her awful personality and her dress sense could she perhaps have reasonable worldwide success. She's certainly no Rihanna.

The blind obsession with Chav Cole on these forums is depressing. She's a vacuous nobody, and is nothing more than a triumph of marketing over talent. She isn't even remotely likeable.

Even she must wonder how on earth she gets away with it.

Cole will never become an International al star for obvious reasons
prove she can sing live without a backing track for the 1st time might change my mind

Hasn't she already done that, across Europe at least.
