Cheryl fails to score #1 on Album Chart

Such a tragedy!
First, Alex bombed on charts and now Cheryl smashed by Bieber with her album. I feel for her. At least Call my name is at #2, down 1.
I really love A Million Lights and I hoped that her best album would do better than previous albums

I'm no fan of Cheryl my no means, but I doubt Bieber's album will even be in the top 10 next week.

she wrote on Facebook that she's so happy having both, single and album at #2. Hard to believe for me, honestly. She's put so much efford into the promotion and the album itself plus she was making it for 1,5 year and unlike 3Wrds and Little Messy.... I really like the album.
Hopefully new week when Biber's teen army stop buying Believe, Cheryl can redeem her title for best British Pop Act of XXI c:P

The pop charts - especially anything X Factor related - are so unsure at the moment I'm betting Cheryl is indeed very thankful/relieved/blessed/grateful to get to number 2 in the albums.

Beiber is a huge deal at the moment. And there's always next week.

You don't think Cheryl has an army of teenyboppers? I know very few adult Cheryl fans.

Who knew that a #2 album would be considered a 'failure'...

She's got a #2 album, and just had a massive selling #1 single.

Somehow I don't think she'll be reaching for the razer blades just yet.

However it is a shame that the pile of shite that was Messy Little Raindrops could get to #1 and A Million Lights couldn't. If only she had released it last week, she would have been #1 with quite a margin.

It's actually a bit worrying how people have lost so much sight of what making music is meant to be about that a number two album is considered to be a failure.

you're right
I just think that someone who has had an awesome career and a solid album, should get #1. If it was someone from XF, getting number two position would be fantastic and for CHeryl it is not, That's it

There are one or two tracks that I like on Cheryl's album, but the rest really is awful. It's just garbage. As much as I hate Justin Bieber, he has actually matured and thought about some progression in his sound. I would have though Cheryl would have got the #1 considering how much promotion she did for it all.

I didn't like Bieber but then I checked out his new album. Surprisingly really really good. Way better than Cheryl's because it has no fillers.

Bieber will plumet next week. He has his hardcore fans but is a joke to the general buyer.

I agree with this I think.

Now that his fanbase has the album, who is going to go to the shops see Justin has a new album out and think "oh I might get that"?

The fanbase. Again and again and again.

(But really, I expect he'll slip a few spots next week.)
