hello people
well i bit the bullet and went for a panasonic!! model: TXL32X5B i got an excellent deal which includes them delivering and setting up the set upstairs (i have just had abdominal surgery so am not allowed to lift anything) AND taking away my old dead MASSIVE set (for which the council wanted £25 for me take to the tip - assuming i could hire a crane to lift it it's enormous!) it has freeview hd (as recommended by David (2) - thank you), an led screen, and usb port additionally as i got it from a panasonic dealer i got the 5 year warranty where THEY come to me rather than me having to hike it to them! thanks for that recommmendation Nigel!!!! it looked lovely and the guy showed me what SD looked like as well as what dvds and bluerays look like (and something dark so i could check out the blacks!!! ) i got this beauty for £389 which is cheaper than most places except amazon, but then for £20 i wouldn't get the extra service which as i live in the middle on nowhere and am incapacitated is well worth it!!! thank you all SO much for your help in explaining all the different specs and what to look for, i at least felt like i knew what i was talking about when i was there thank you again i can't wait till tomorrow when it arrives!!!!! |

thats the right way to do it. Would never buy a tv without first trying one. Also with the internet, i dont know how much it would cost to return if it didnt work or went wrong. Certainly more than it would cost me to drive the shops.

How are LG and Samsung behind? I know that Panasonic and Sony are legit but the other two companies are on par with them. I don’t know much about Samsung brand if you are looking for 3d LG is the way to go. The first half of 2011, LG was awarded for hit-chart. All have them pro and con, just got to go with what feature you prefer.

This is why LG/Samsung make money on them, and Sony/Panasonic don't
