Also in that article

When asked by a Twitter follower to clarify his comments, Butler admitted that he "absolutely adores" the singer's 2003 hit 'Crazy In Love'. He explained that his tweets referred to "the love for her standing in the security pit surrounded by 100 sycophants".
Reading the Facebook comments I found this ditty

Bernard, what would you expect from somebody who threw a hissy fit at Obama's inauguration because security wouldn't let her park right beside the stage.

I don't know who Bernard Butler is.
Please learn what Google is, I assumed most with access to a computer capable of turning one on and typing words out on a keyboard already knew how to use it but apparently not.

Using her name as PR for himself.

Using another for attention, when your career is no longer thriving is worse than just accepting you're almost over.

its hardly pr for himself if all he succeeds in doing is winding up thick beyonce fans, most suede fans would agree with him in thinking beyonce is all about pr

I think you will find he is now a very highly regarded, and much sought after, producer. So to say his is "using her name as PR for himself" because his career is "almost over" is totally wrong.....

He's spot on about all three. All hype and ego. Nobody is allowed to criticise them. 'Run this town' 'Watch the throne'....couldn't they be a bit more humble once in a while?

I don't get how she is a non-stop PR machine for supporting her husband? She could've watched it back stage and not had anywhere near as much fun as she was having.
I think out of all the pop stars there are she is defiantly one of the least PR driven.

he obviously got lucky to produce a 5 million selling album, plus all the other big selling and popular albums and singles. it couldn't possibly be due to being talented

Well said Mr Butler, but to be honest, taking pot shots at Beyonce is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Totally agree with Bernard Butler, what was worse was Radio Ones sycophants fawning over Jay Z like he was some sort of God. Nas is a far superior rapper.

He clearly wasn't 'Suede' by the offer of free publicity.

i've never rated jay z as an artist. he has a few decent tracks like the ones the neptunes produced, but i can't take someone seriously when they make a track like hard knock life. surely rappers learned something from ll cool j's i need love?
