I terms of cracking the UK quite a lot of mainstream artists don't get that far, but apparently Jess Mauboy has had a meeting with Simon Cowell and if the film 'The Supremes' comes out in the UK I'm sure that would be a platform to launch her from. Her music is probably aimed largely at teenage girls, but given the right material she does have the voice.

The other one is Guy Sebastian, who won the first season of Australian Idol. His current single Battlescars is number one and features Luipe Fiasco (sp?) and apparently he wants to have it as his ead single in the US. If this is correct, and it does well then perhaps he could be coming to the UK also.

I saw Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo at Solfest this year and they instantly fond themselves a new fan.

She released Dancing With a Broken Heart as her second single. Entered at number 15 in AU, but is falling rapidly. Such a shame.
