I've just registered. Should be fun

I know very little about cycling so I've used the lucky dip option

You don't want to be finishing below me.............

Pretty sure I will be, I've tried to shy away from anyone who I think will drop out for the Olympics, but then it turns out I only know Team Sky riders and the top 10 most expensive ones.

How do you know if your team has been submitted ?

From FAQ

Once you have picked a full team a submit button will appear on the top of the screen. If you enter your team before the transfer amnesty closes you will not see a submit button. If your team is complete before 16.59 BST on Friday 29 June, 2012 it will be automatically submitted. Before this deadline your team will not start scoring, or appear in a mini-league, until it has been submitted.

Thing that does me in is what stages their best at.
You get transfers in this comp so id guess saving some for sprints etc is best but god knows

We're not playing for a row of houses!

If you want to take part without having to think too much, just choose the "lucky dip" option

I'm in. Played it last year, terrific game. Two teams, one mine and advised the missus on hers, almost entirely different rosters and from stage one, my team was never out of the top 15 and hers the top 25, until the final stage when everyone seemed to play their double points. Ended 22nd & 37th.

I've mapped out 5 of my transfers in the first week already! Be interesting to see how many I stick to - stage 4 is the real stumbling block, not entirely convinced it'll end in a bunch sprint.

I need one more genuine TT for the 9 for the prologue to get rid of straight afterwards. Torn between Grivko, Gretsch & Kessiakoff.

I've applied to join please. It looks a bit complicated though... I've just picked a bunch of sprinters and see how we'll go from there.

There's a good guide to the route and other stuff here: http://inrng.com/tour/

First stage only a prologue, so I'd be surprised to see some TTs up there like Zabriskie, Leipheimer.

Sagan & Hagen are the only 2 riders with a genuine chance of winning any one of the first 7 stages.
